Peyton had his first haircut a few weeks ago. I had put his haircut off for so long because I adored his fine little baby hair, but it looked like it was starting to get in his face and bother him so I bit the bullet and decided to take him. We decided to drive out and meet daddy on his lunch break on Friday. Of course we had to get some snacks for the road....
Unfortunately I have no pictures of him actually getting his haircut because he screamed bloody murder the entire time.....like an all out hands flailing scream. I was a little surprised because he is normally pretty laid back when he is being held.
Before his haircut
And after his haircut! The sucker afterwards made all the difference.

Patrick's First Dentist Appointment
Patrick had his first dentist appointment this Friday. When I told him we were going to get to go to school late because of his dentist appointment, he was so excited! We have been pretty busy lately, so I think he has been craving some one on one time. When I drove into the parking lot, Patrick said "where is the tennis mommy?" When I told him it was the big building in front of us, he cheered and said "yayy mommy! You found the tennis office." I just love little toddler speech. So cute!
We had to wait for about 30 minutes and then went back to see the dental assistant. Patrick was really nervous once we got back to the chair, but was so brave! He climbed up into the chair and asked to hold my hand, so I sat at the bottom of the chair with him. I was so proud of how well he did! The dental assistant even commented on how great he was doing and how he was one of her most calm patients.
His teeth looked great and he had no cavities! Way to go Patrick! I think the most fun part of the appointment for him was afterwards because he got a balloon and got a special token to pick out a toy. He picked out a bouncy ball and was so excited about it.
Excited about his prizes
So glad my big boy's first dentist appointment went so well!

Sesame Street Live
We took the boys to see Sesame Street Live this weekend. Both the boys had a great time during the first portion. Peyton was clapping and waving, it was really cute. And Patrick thought it was really special to be able to have some fun snacks! In hindsight we should have left after the intermission, because both boys became really restless and were ready to leave after the intermission.
But overall I think it was really fun and the boys enjoyed some time with mom and dad after a hectic few weeks of moving out of our house!
Here are a few i-phone pictures of the boys

In awe when the Sesame Street characters came on
It's cookie monster (Peyton's all time favorite character!)

Isle of Palms 2014
For Memorial Day week we went to Isle of Palms with Michael's extended family. We do this every year and the boys really love it!
Attempting a family picture
Naps in the tent on the beach was definitely a perk!
And some naps on the front porch
The boys both loved the pool
This was definitely Patrick's favorite part of the trip
Hugs from cousin Harper
Love this handsome little boy!
I could squeeze those precious thighs all day long!
Flying kites with daddy
So in love with those precious curls!
Cousins watching a movie together
"Kisses for babe!"
Love this little guy
Sweet little Peyton was a trooper even though he wasn't feeling great
Dancing boys
My big boy spent a lot of time outside with his trains and cars
I dragged out my camera for our last day on the beach and took a few action shots of the boys. Just love them!
Peyton loved running in the "puddles" on the beach and was terrified of the waves.
Patrick was so fast running up and down the beach!
Although you would never know it from these pictures, sweet little Peyton was sick most of the week. Sweet little boy threw up 3 times in the car on the way there....yikes! He also had stomach/diaper issues for the first 3 days at the beach. Luckily, he felt better for the last few days. Maybe next year we will have a full healthy week!
