Kick or Treat Bowling Green Tournament

Patrick had a tournament in Bowling Green, Kentucky last weekend. They had a tough schedule, with an 8am game and then a 6pm game. Patrick and I drove up to Bowling Green really early on Saturday morning. It was an easy drive and there was no traffic. We arrived at the field just in time for sunrise. It started raining about midway through the first game. We lost the game, but it was a beautiful setting.

Patrick and I headed back to Nashville to try and catch Conor's flag football semi-final game. Unfortunately it was rained out, so we took a quick nap and then headed back to Bowling Green. Luckily, the whole family was able to join. We ate dinner at Pub by Novo and it was delicious! Then the kids played in the pool for a little while. We ended up in the championship and played a very good game to win the championship and defeat the team we had lost to on Saturday morning. It was a great weekend!

Spelling Bee

Peyton earned a spot to compete in the spelling bee this year. He worked really hard and I was very proud of him. He was one of the last boys competing and made it to the third round. Way to go Peyton!

Fall Break- St. George Island (Part 2)

It was a pretty chilly and windy day, so we headed out of the house to the lighthouse and the playground. Caitie played on the playground for a long time. She loved it!

Then we had lunch at Paddy's. It was delicious!

We were back in time for a gorgeous sunset!

Caitie took a million selfies on my phone. She sure is cute though!

The next day was a red moon! It was freezing and very windy outside, so it was hard to sit on the beach for very long. But this red moon sure is pretty!

On the last night of vacation we had a photoshoot on the beach and went to dinner at the Blue Parrot. It was delicious!

The boys are trying to pose like Caitie. They crack me up!

Caitie asked for a picture with mom and dad separately and then together. She sure is cute. This is definitely my very favorite age!

All the kids. Gosh they sure do look grown up!

The girls

The adults

And the whole group!

The next morning we woke up and packed to head home. Caitie and I saw part of the sun rise. It was gorgeous!

We had some time to kill before heading to the airport so we stopped at the lighthouse and ate breakfast at the Beach Pit.

It was fun to go up in the lighthouse. It was a tight squeeze up a tiny ladder at the end.

It had beautiful views of the island!

Then we headed to Paddy's for some lunch and let the kids play outside.

It was a really fun vacation. Unfortunately Michael had to work the first part of vacation, so he missed all the pretty weather. The weather didn't cooperate the second half of the week, but we still had a lot of fun!

Fall Break- Saint George Island (Part 1)

We flew into Panama City on Sunday morning after Matt and Taylor's wedding. We were all pretty tired, but were happy to make it to the beach. We stopped at Hunt's on St. Joe Bay about half way from Panama City to St. George Island. It was a delicious lunch on the water.

When we got to St. George Island mid-afternoon, the kids ran right down to the beach to join the rest of the crew. We were a couple days late because of the wedding, so they were already at the beach.

Gorgeous sunset the first night!

The girls watching their nightly cookies bake.

Day 2

Lots of volleyball on the beach!

Day 3

The kids would take bike rides to the local candy shop!

A few other families joined us on the beach on this day. There were so many boys and they had fun playing tackle football.

The moms

So many kids!

Lots of card games, especially uno!

They went crab hunting and caught so many crabs! It was crazy how many they caught!
