Patrick is 2 months old! He had his 2 month doctors appointment yesterday and he weighs 10 lbs, 3 ounces and is 23 inches long. He is 25% in weight, 50% in height and 10% in head circumference. He also had his 2 month shots and it just broke my heart! The poor little guy turned purple and forgot to breathe. He only cried for a few minutes afterwards, so I was really proud of him. He has also developed this little yellow rash right around his eyebrows and forehead that I asked the doctor about. The doctor said its really common and is called cradle cap and doesn't bother them at all. Unfortunately there isn't anything I can do about it!
He is also smiling a lot now and trying really hard to laugh. He has started occasionally making a little squeal when he smiles! It's so funny!
I packed up all of Patrick's newborn clothes this week. It made me kind of sad to pack them all up! They still fit around his little body, but they were all just too short on him and won't fasten. I'm glad he is getting a little taller! Please excuse all of his clothes in the pictures below. The next size up from newborn are still big on him and look pretty silly!
Below are a few pictures of Patrick from the past week
His hair seems to be getting a little more of a reddish tint
He started squealing while I was taking this picture and spit out a little of his breakfast...too cute not to post though :)
Cheering dad on at his softball game
We also hosted a going away party at our house for my boss Julie last night. She is moving to Milwaukee for a really good opportunity with E&Y. I'm glad she will still be with the firm, but I am just so bummed about her not being in Nashville anymore. She has been my boss since day 1 and I have been working with her for 5 years. She is my counselor and my mentor and the one person I could always talk to about work or my personal life or anything! She is the main reason I have loved working at E&Y, so i'm a little nervous about going back after maternity leave and not having her there! I know it will work out though!
My mom and dad had the fun experience of watching Patrick during the party last night. He wasn't feeling very good after his shots and got a little irritable for them. My mom had fed him two bottles and then called me and I could barely hear her because he was screaming so loudly in the background! I rushed over there and he seemed to be running a little fever from his shots. He was just fine after some tylenol though!
Michael's 10-year reunion is tonight and he has been working so hard on planning it. I can't wait to go. Michael's mom and dad are watching Patrick tonight. We are just so lucky to have both sets of grandparents within a couple miles of us! I probably wouldn't enjoy myself out as much if he was with a babysitter, since he is still so young. So thanks to both of them! We really appreciate it!
