Patrick's First Cross Country Season

We finished Patrick's first cross country season and I could not be more proud of my big boy! He did so great the entire season! There were 3 meets and also a championship meet. The season was only about a month and he really enjoyed it! He has already asked if he can run when he is a first grader.

The kindergarten boys and girls ran together and there was 176 kindergarten runners. The kids run 3/4 of a mile, starting on the track and then running through the field around the tennis courts and then finishing on the track. The first meet Patrick finished in 5th place with a time of 7:03. He definitely surprised us all!

The second cross country meet Patrick finished in 8th place and had a time of 6:37.

The third cross country meet Patrick finished in 16th place and had a time of 6:57. It was SO hot this day! Conor also hit him in the head the night before and gashed his head open :/ so I could tell he wasn't really feeling that great. Although he still asked to run!

His supporters were not happy with the heat either!!

And the championship meet he finished in 12th place with a time of 6:55.
