My sweet little Peyton turned two this weekend! I cannot believe he is already two years old! Time has flown by! Peyton loves Minions so we decided to throw him a Despicable Me party. He also sounds like a little minion when he speaks and it is so funny. This party was so fun to plan! Luckily I was up late a lot feeding a new baby so I had lots of time to craft while feeding.
Birthday Boy
So excited about his party
Peyton's party set up
Me and my sweet boy
We made chocolate chips cookies to look like the cookie robots in the movie. The "robot" on the top is a pen top and the body of the robot is a wire hanger. Not exactly like a robot, but close enough :)
The little girl in the movie is obsessed with unicorns so we had cotton candy as unicorn fur
Peyton is obsessed with the despicable me short film about bananas. Once we watch it one time he has to watch it over and over again and giggles like crazy while watching it. So I attempted to draw a minion on chalk board. I'm definitely not an artist, but I gave it my best shot.
Peyton's minion cake
Agnes's caterpillars aka cheetos
The minion bananas
I originally had the idea to do a watermelon to look like a minion but I couldn't really find an oblong enough watermelon this time of year and I also forgot to get the goggle to go on it. So just a cute watermelon instead of a minion watermelon.
Minion cupcakes. These were surprisingly easy to make with twinkies.
Some minion napkins
When Gru first adopts the girls he puts up signs that say "food," "water" and "pee and poo." I decided to forgo the "pee and poo" with newspaper since it was a two year old's party. I also feared that the parents who had not seen the movie would think I was nuts!
Knocked Oooover! One of my favorite parts of the movie is at the carnival where Gru shoots down a space alien to get the little girl a stuffed unicorn. So we got some dart guns and made a little target for the kids to shoot the space alien.
We had bubble guns as Squid Launchers
Minion lanterns
Since his birthday was the weekend before Easter we decided to do an Easter egg hunt for the kids. So I made a few minion bags for the Easter egg hunt.
I forgot to take a picture of the eggs before they were hidden in the yard, but here is one of the minion eggs.

Outside the front door

Hunting for eggs
Peyton was so excited that everyone was rushing outside the door that he decided to run as fast as he could through the yard to the street and not look for any eggs. We finally convinced him that he should look for eggs instead of run.
I think he got 1 egg but he didn't care one bit
Sweet friends
Not surprised that my two boys went after the candy
Sweet little birthday boy
We couldn't find a big box at Target but thought the box of shame that is in the movie would make a great photo opportunity. So a few minutes before the party Michael decided to just make do with the box that we could find.
I'm so glad he decided to do it last minute because it was one of Peyton's favorite things about the party. Harper and Patrick loved it too!
Talking to Gigi
Peyton gets shy so he sat down and hid behind the box of shame when it was time to sing and blow out the candles. So we sang to him while he was sitting on the floor.
Conor woke up for the last half of the party
Being silly with daddy
Peyton was in no mood to take pictures after the party, but we tried anyway!
We had a little photo shoot after the party, so I could capture the precious little guy at 2 years old!
Love his precious little baby features
Laughing at Pat Pat. This is definitely how I will always remember my little guy at 2 years old! He is so happy and so animated!
It was such a fun day and I loved celebrating Peyton!
