We reserved this day as a pool day. The pool is really great for kids at the Grand Hyatt and I knew the kids would want a relaxing day to swim. The boys played basketball all day with new friends. The two big boys also discovered Ube and loved it. They had Ube floats at the pool.
We had dinner reservations at Merriman's that night. We tried to see the turtles at Poipu beach, but we were a little early. We did see two endangered Hawaiin monk seals which was really cool!
Dinner at Merriman's at sunset was perfect. This was our favorite meal of the whole trip. It was beyond delicious.
The restaurant was in a fun shopping center and we enjoyed walking around and shopping while waiting on our reservations.
The next morning we had a fun adventure planned. We had a leisurely breakfast at the resort first. The grounds were jus so gorgeous.
We took a jeep ride on an old sugar plantation. We stopped to see the rainiest place on earth. It was raining when we arrived, but stopped for a few minutes for us to grab some pictures.

Then we tubed through 5 different tunnels. It was really unique and a fun experience.
There was a little drop that was fun.
We had a fun lunch overlooking the river afterwards. Then we hopped in the car and stopped at a Wailua Shaved Ice for a treat.
We spent the rest of the afternoon at the lagoon and pool.
Then headed to the club for an appetizer. We loved going before dinner for fruit, cheese and crackers and some light dinner options. It was such a great perk.
We walked next door to Puka Dogs and had hot dogs and fresh squeezed lemonade for dinner. We all enjoyed the hot dogs and they were very unique. However, Michael and I both agreed that the hot dogs in Iceland could not be beat.
It was a really fun couple of days in Hawaii.
