We checked out of the Grand Hyatt and headed towards Waimea Canyon. We stopped at Hanapepe, which is known as "Kauai's Biggest Little Town." The town was the inspiration for Lilo and Stitch.
We also went on the swinging bridge. It was a little sketchy, but a fun stop to get out of the car for a little bit.
We took the winding road up to Waimea Canyon. It's a winding road with a lot of elevation gain.
It was so gorgeous. We stopped at all of the overlooks and every single one of them was amazing. Waimea Canyon is known as the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific."
The last stop had peaks of the Napali coast. It was a little cloudy, but still such a gorgeous view.
After Waimea Canyon we made the long drive to North Kauai. We stopped at Lava Lava Beach club for dinner on the way. We arrived at 1 Hotel around 8pm and they had the most fun welcome. I forgot to take a picture, but it was really fun.
Excited for the second part of our Kauai vacation to begin!
