Peyton- 23 Months

The last monthly post on my sweet little Peyton! Can't believe he is 1 month away from being 2 years old!

Peyton still isn't talking that much. He says sentences and words, but it is very hard to understand him. Half the time I have no idea what he is saying and I am pretty sure other people can't understand a single word. He has gained a lot of new words, but we are still working on pronunciation. Patrick does most of the talking in our house, so Peyton really hasn't had the chance to practice much. I have no doubts he will be a little chatter box soon though!

He is such a sweet boy and is such a big helper. He loves to help put away toys and help feed the dogs. He LOVES to take a bath and begs to take a bath every night. He also really loves to take a shower.

I think Peyton loves baths so much because he gets to share toys with Patrick and splash around with his big brother.

He copies everything that big brother Patrick does. I took this picture of them watching a movie together. Just precious!

Peyton also gained a new little brother this month. He has been so sweet with him. I really expected him to be jealous since this is a tough age to gain a new sibling, but he loves him so much and hasn't been jealous at all!

Loving on his new brother with daddy

A few Valentine's day pictures with his new baby brother

Sums up my goofy little Peyton just perfectly. Such a happy little guy!

Playing games with big brother

He is still a pretty good eater. He LOVES juice boxes and begs for candy. He can chug a juice box like nothing I have ever seen. I really craved apple juice when I was pregnant with him and now I see why! He is also doing really well in his big boy bed. Bed time is really easy with him which is wonderful. We read Goodnight Gorilla about 4 times, sing a few songs and then he goes right to bed. Hopefully it continues to stay that way!

He is doing really well at school and his teachers always brag on how happy he is and how much he helps pick up the toys every day.

Love you so much Peyton! Cannot believe you are going to be a big 2 year old in just a few short weeks!

Conor's First Bath

Sweet little Conor had his first bath yesterday. I had been waiting and waiting for his cord to fall out so I could give this little guy a bath. With two older brothers with sticky hands who smear all kinds of things on this poor child, the sponge baths just weren't cutting it!

He was a little unsure of this whole bath thing at first

His eyes are so expressive, just love this laid back baby

He finally decided he liked the bath and the sound of the running water a lot

Unfortunately his skin is so dry, the doctor limited us to 2 baths a week. At least its better than the sponge baths though!

Conor's 3 Week Check-up

We went to the doctor for Conor's three week check-up on Friday, February 27th which was his actual due date. The little guy looked so great and had gained a pound and a half! When the doctor came in and saw his weight gain he said "Oh wow, impressive weight gain!" Way to go little buddy! He is a great nurser, so I had no doubts but it is nice to hear that all the late night feedings are paying off.

Conor weighed 8 pounds 5.5 ounces (40%), was 20 3/4 inches tall (40%) and his head circumference is  20%.

Here is my sweet little buddy on the way to the doctor's office

Nashville's 2015 Ice Storm

The week after we brought home Conor from the hospital, we had a huge ice storm. The boys were out of school all week and we weren't able to leave the house. It was a tough week and I am glad we all survived it! Not only was I still recovering from just having a baby, but it was Michael's busiest few weeks of the entire year. He was stressed and trying to work from home. It's definitely not easy to work from home with a newborn and two very small children running around screaming!

They did get out a couple of times to enjoy the snow though. Patrick loved it and was so excited about his new snow gear. Peyton….not so much! Peyton preferred to stay inside and watch out the window with Conor and I.

Peyton all bundled up

Pulling Patrick up the hill after some fun sledding!

Terrible picture, but it's the only one I had documenting Conor's first snow

About to head down the steep hill!

Video of Michael and Patrick going down the hill.  Patrick LOVED it, but I am glad I wasn't there to witness my three year old going down such a steep hill. It was fast! Michael even ran into a car and broke a sled, yikes!

Conor's First Week at Home

Sweet little Conor on the way home from the hospital

Waiting on his brothers to get home

So excited our new brother is at home!

There are entirely too many sleeping pictures of Conor, but I just can't get over that precious little face

Seriously, cutest little guy ever!

While putting Patrick to bed one night and reading stories, Conor started hiccuping and Patrick started giggling like crazy. So cute!

Patrick asked if he could teach baby how to open his eyes…hysterical!

And a picture of my almost two year old gobbling up some dinner!

Enjoying some Valentine's candy

Leave the boys in the same room with Conor for one minute by themselves...

Milk coma

His first outing outside the house. Headed to Nana and Grumps house for Sunday morning breakfast!

Love these precious moments with my little guys!

Happy Valentine's Day

The boys had their Valentine's party on Friday at school. So Conor helped me assemble their Valentine's cards the day before.

Patrick's cards

Peyton's cards

They both came home with loads of treats and were so excited to open their bags!

Valentine's Day was a low-key holiday in our family this year. This is the first year that Michael and I have not been to a predators game (besides last year when there was not a game) and Mellow Mushroom since we started dating in 2007. But, I think we had a good excuse to skip out on our tradition this year! I wasn't expecting for Conor to come before Valentine's Day, so he didn't have an outfit for his first holiday, but here is a little picture I took of him in his rocking chair.

I tried to do some photos of all the boys, but they were not into it so here are some not so great photos of the boys.

Still in the closing eyes and "cheesing" really big phase!

Peyton insisted on wearing the baby's chewing necklace that he found in his room

Love these three boys! Still cannot believe that I have 3 boys under the age of 4. Time has flown by!

Michael made us an awesome Valentine's dinner and even made some chocolate covered strawberries to go along with it! Yum!

After dinner, the boys asked to listen to music. Patrick's request was "Saturday Night."  Patrick and Peyton danced throughout the house and sang songs. It was the perfect ending to a sweet family Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day to the four boys that have stolen my heart!
