The Mischievous Chippy/Elfie

Patrick was really into all things Christmas this year. This was the first year we really did Elf on the Shelf and Patrick really loved it! We watched the Elf on the Shelf movie to understand what it was about and he really got into it. He decided to name his elf "Chippy" exactly like the elf in the movie. He also sometimes referred to the elf as Elfie, so he sort of has two names!  I forgot to take a few pictures, but this is some of the mischief from our elf Chippy.

The day we left for Disney World Mickey mouse appeared to tell the kids we were going!

Chippy also flew with us to Disney World, but while in Disney World he decided to be extra special and bring presents for the boys

When we got back from Disney, Chippy decided to admire the ornament Patrick picked out

Til next year Chippy!

Peyton- 21 Months

Peyton is 21 months old!

It was a really really rough month for this guy. He was sick the entire month with ear infections, bronchitis, teething and fevers. We had him tested for the flu, but he did not have it thank goodness!

This pretty much sums up his mood for most of this month...sick sick sick!

The doctor's office is no fun!

He was a daddy's boy this month and wanted absolutely nothing to do with mom. He would literally push me away and say no whenever I would get near him. My boys have pretty much been momma's boys, so this was a big change for me. But I didn't envy Michael! He had the challenge of trying to help Peyton through this rough month. I'm pretty sure Peyton slept in his arms almost every night....yikes! Any time Michael would leave the house Peyton would scream bloody murder at the door for 30 minutes (at least). It was no fun!

I stayed home with Peyton a lot this month since he couldn't go to school much. It was definitely tough to fit in work and take care of a sick baby. He did not want anything to do with his bed, so napping in random spots so mom could work was our best solution!

We took lots of baths! Any time I had a conference call, I knew I could stick him in the bath and he would be happy for a few minutes. Except for one time, when he pooped everywhere in the tub in the middle of me trying to talk on a conference call....that was fun!

And he is finally starting to feel better! Definitely couldn't come soon enough!

A few selfies since the boys love them!

Back to our normal smiley sweet self!

Pre-Christmas Fun

We headed to Cheekwood one weekend to meet Santa. Patrick was thrilled to meet Santa and was so excited about telling him what was on his map (aka list).  There was an hour wait to see Santa so we explored the rest of Cheekwood first.

Michael and Patrick in Santa's Sleigh

Checking out the reindeer

And of course the boys favorite is always the trains. I think they would watch the train all day if I let them.

Next up was to meet Santa. Patrick took his "map", which was really just a receipt that he found in the house.  Isn't he just precious reading it to Santa??? He asked for a blue monster truck.

Peyton was terrified of Santa!

Peyton was pretty tired after meeting Santa, so we headed to the car while he was screaming, yikes! Patrick headed to the cookie decorating station to decorate a cookie.

At home, we decorated gingerbread houses.

So proud of his gingerbread house. After decorating he immediately asked if he could eat some of the candy off of the house :)

We also had the Mulloy cousins over for dinner and to catch up

We also went to the annual caroling party at the Mulloy's to benefit Fannie Battle. Patrick was the cutest thing I have ever seen. He was SO excited about the caroling. He not only danced, but picked out all the songs and was so into it even though it was freezing outside! Apparently it is the most money raised for Fannie Battle from this party in a while and I am convinced it was all because Harper and Patrick were in the front dancing and belting out the songs! Who can say no to a precious 2 and 3 year old dancing and singing Frosty the Snowman or Rudolph?!?

And went to see Santa one last time before Christmas. Peyton kicked and screamed too much to sit on Santa's lap. Patrick told Santa he wanted a blue remote control monster truck. It was the only toy he really wanted for Christmas. He also told Santa he had a girlfriend named Olivia! uh oh!
