On Sunday morning we headed to Hollywood Studios. I knew this might be our most challenging day since there isn't that much to do at Hollywood Studios for young kids. There were a few things I thought he would like, but Fast Passes were just too tough to get as late as we booked our trip!
We had reservations at Hollywood and Vine, which includes all of the Disney characters. I knew Patrick would love it since he loves the Disney Junior shows. We sat down at our table and Patrick was so excited to see all of the characters. We had to wait for them to come to our table which was challenging, but they finally made it. The boys were so excited I don't think they ate a single thing for breakfast! You will notice that Peyton is not in any of the pictures. He loved the characters from far away and would laugh and giggle and point at them. But, when they got to our table he was so terrified and didn't want to take any pictures with them! Patrick was excited enough for the both of them though!
Up first was Handy Manny
Doc McStuffins came to our table next
Then Patrick's all time favorite- Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates
Love his big grins in all these pictures
And last but not least was Princess Sophia
It was a really fun breakfast. All of the characters sang and danced around the whole time. It was also really neat that they all came to our table for some individual attention with the boys!

While we were walking to our next destination, Patrick saw Buzz Lightyear and just had to meet him! The line was pretty short, so we jumped in line. The elf on the shelf ("Chippy") brought Patrick a Buzz Lightyear gun that day that lights up and makes fun noises. When it was Patrick's turn to see Buzz Lightyear, Buzz asked to see the gun and pretended to play with Patrick, which he thought was the coolest!
Waiting in Line to meet Buzz and Woody
Trying to keep Peyton entertained took lots of skill :)
Sweet little Peyton was terrified
Meeting Buzz and Woody
Next up was the Disney Junior Live show. Both the boys enjoyed it, but did have a little trouble sitting still for the whole show.
We weren't able to get fast passes for Toy Story. I knew this would be a long wait for us. I had planned to try and ride it first thing in the morning, but after getting to the hotel so late the night before we just couldn't make it in time. So an hour and a half wait it was! Luckily there were lots of fun things to look at and do in line, but it was tough to keep the boys occupied!
Peyton started to act a little cranky at this point and I knew something was up with him. I noticed in line that one of his 2 year molars was starting to poke through. His hand pretty much stayed in his mouth the entire trip and he ran a low fever from this point forward :(
The talking Mr. Potato head was really cool, but Peyton was seconds away from falling asleep at this point.
We finally got to the end of the line and rode the ride. It was a really cool ride! I think if Patrick had been a year older it would have been much more fun for him. It was a little challenging for a 3 year old to wear the 3D glasses and shoot guns at the moving targets. He gave it his best shot, but I think he ended up with zero points at the end, ha!
We headed to meet the Monsters, Inc. characters next. It is one of Patrick's favorite movies, so I really thought he would be excited to meet them. I'm not sure if he was tired or scared (or probably both), but he asked to get out of line and said he didn't want to meet them anymore. Later in the day Patrick did ask if he could meet them again, so I was a little bummed we missed our chance....maybe next time!
We decided to head back to the hotel for a late lunch and naps. While we tried to get Patrick to nap, Peyton headed outside to explore "Radiator Springs" with Michael.
After some fun in the hotel room, we headed back to Hollywood Studios for the Frozen Holiday Party. We were a little confused as to what this included. We definitely would have done it differently had we known.
The package included VIP seats to the Frozen sing-a-long. We didn't know that we could have done this earlier in the day, which in retrospect would have been much better. A 7pm show was a little difficult for the kids to sit through. Michael ended up having to take Patrick out of the theatre for misbehaving, yikes!
After the Frozen show we headed to the dessert party. We thought we were going to be able to meet Anna and Elsa there, but apparently they didn't show, oh well! It was fun to be able to have great seats for the light show at Hollywood Studios and have some yummy desserts. I think Michael enjoyed the alcoholic beverages as well. We only got to be at the dessert party for a little while since we went to see the frozen show. Next time we would definitely see the Frozen show in the morning and experience the whole dessert party that night!
There are lights everywhere and they are beautiful!
Enjoying some yummy desserts
Icing overload!
Since we had park hopper and the kids were jacked up on sugar, we decided to head to Magic Kingdom even though it was already pretty late! Little did we know that it was Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and you had to buy additional tickets which were sold out. We were pretty bummed since we had taken the time to ride the bus and go all the way there. This sweet family noticed how sad the boys were and gave us some of her tickets that she wasn't using! So nice!
The Parade really looked awesome, but we didn't watch much since I knew the boys would rather ride all of the rides while the lines were short.
So pretty!!
The Christmas parade was going on when we got there, so there was music galore and it was definitely less crowded than normal. It started to drizzle right as we got there, but wasn't raining too hard so we decided to stay. There was no line for the teacups, so the boys were able to ride it twice with daddy!
Since there were hardly any lines, we decided to let Patrick decide which rides he wanted to ride, so he picked Winnie the Pooh next.
Next up on the request list was the Little Mermaid. There were only two people in line to meet Ariel so we jumped in line. Patrick was so shy and so cute about meeting Ariel....you could tell he was in amazement! There was also no line for the Little Mermaid ride, so we rode that quickly too!
Patrick and I on the little Mermaid ride
Peyton fell asleep after the Little Mermaid ride, so Patrick and I headed to ride It's a Small World. Patrick did not like this ride and asked a couple of times if it was almost over. I don't blame him, its pretty outdated!
Then Michael and Patrick headed for the Peter Pan ride. There was a line, but definitely not as long as during the day!
We were so glad we went back to the Magic Kingdom. We were able to ride so many rides in just 2 hours. Michael and I definitely would have stayed longer, but both boys were really tired and it was starting to rain pretty hard.
I snapped this picture of the "frozen" castle on the way out. So pretty!
We didn't get back to the hotel room and asleep until around 12:30/1am, so Michael and I were exhausted! The boys napped on the bus on the way home, but I knew it would be tough to get them up the next morning at 6am for some more fun!!
