California Trip- Disneyland/California Adventure (Part 2)

We stayed at the Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park entrance. It's only a 5 minute walk to and from the entrance to the park. The hotel has a small waterpark. Also, the rooms have 2 queen beds and bunk beds so it was a great option for our family!

We grabbed some coffee and a few things from Starbucks and headed to the park right at 8am on Friday morning.

We know Disney World like the back of our hand, so it was a little different to start over at Disneyland. We had written a plan, but it was a lot busier than we expected. We had planned to try Peter Pan first, but the line was already 45 minutes when we arrived.

We saw Captain Hook without a line so we jumped in a picture with him. Conor was really excited to meet him.

Caitie and Conor were dying to ride the carousel, so we rode that and Alice in Wonderland.

Caitie loved it!

We rode HyperSpace Mountain next and the boys loved it. It is themed to Star Wars, so it was different than Disney World's version. Unfortunately a lot of our ride pictures didn't work, but we did capture a few. Conor said the ride was really really fast. Love his face in this photo.

Next up was Matterhorn. While the boys were riding Matterhorn we took a little look at the teacups.

This sweet little angel fell asleep

Everyone was pretty hungry, so we grabbed lunch at the Red Rose Tavern

And took a picture in front of the castle on our way over to Tomorrowland. We rode Star Tours and Buzzlightyear Astroblasters.

We felt like the kids needed a little break to run around, so we explored toontown for a little bit. It was PACKED! The little ones loved exploring Goofy's playhouse, Donald's boat and Chip n' Dales Treehouse. It was a great time for them to run around and play for a little bit.

We decided to hop over to California Adventure in the afternoon and have a little snack at Ghiradelli Soda Fountain.

We headed over to Pixar Pier next and rode Toy Story Mania, Jessie's Critter Carousel and Incredicoaster.

Incredicoaster looked absolutely terrifying to me so I put it as a maybe on the list. It is very fast and has an inversion, so I was nervous the kids would be scared. Conor wasn't tall enough to ride, but the big boys LOVED the ride. It was their very favorite part of the trip. I can't even count how many times they rode it on the trip! Clearly it was Michael's favorite ride too.

We had a dining package at Trattoria il Mulino which included the World of Color package. All of the kids behaved for dinner and it was great. Michael and I even enjoyed a bottle of wine.

We had a little bit of time before World of Color, so we headed to Hollywood Land and rode Monster's Inc. We also grabbed a few specialty cocktails. The Wonderland Hot Chocolate and Mistletoe Mule were delicious.

We headed to Carsland next and it was awesome! We were all so excited to experience it.

We rode Mater's Junkyard Jamboree and Radiator Springs Racers a few times. Radiator Springs Racers was definitely my favorite of the trip. It was themed so well!

Peyton took this picture of us. Michael and I really enjoyed trying a few of the festive cocktails from Festival of Holidays.

I was so excited to see World of Color, but it was a little late for our crew especially since California time is behind our time. I dragged my whole crew to see the show anyway. Unfortunately, they sat us in the handicapped area which was in the wet zone. It was pretty cold and we got pretty wet. Otherwise it was such a great show. Sweet little Peyton fell asleep watching the show

It was such a fun day!
