Patrick- 17 Months

Well I am a little late on this post, but Patrick made some big leaps this month.  He got four more teeth, so it was a rough month for this little guy.  Teeth really bother him, so there wasn't that much sleeping last month. He only has 4 more teeth to go which are his two year molars.  I am definitely dreading those teeth!  Hopefully we have a little while longer.

Patrick is still a picky eater.  His favorite things to eat are grapes, watermelon, yogurt, goldfish and MILK.  Lots and lots of milk.

He LOVES cars and trains.  He carries his cars and trains around with him all the time while constantly saying choo choo and racing his cars across a table or chair.  He takes at least two cars to Margaret's every day and she says he doesn't put them down the whole day.  Patrick normally eats with a car on his highchair too.

Patrick has known his body parts for a little while now, but he is really loving a book that we got recently that talks about ears, nose, toes, etc.  He loves for me to read it to him while he points out everything on both of us.

He is such a cuddler and loves to cuddle!  But he also loves to play really rough and bounce all over the place!  I swear he has more energy than any child I have ever seen!  He is still really into climbing on everything!

Mom, no more pictures please!

Playing with daddy

Patrick thinks Michael is so funny and just giggles at everything he does.  Patrick used to be a momma's boy, but he is quickly becoming a daddy's boy.  He still wants mom whenever he falls down or at night time, but every other time he wants daddy to be holding him and playing with him.  Michael and Patrick play really rough together, which is Patrick's favorite!

I just love this little guy and his precious smile!

Day out with Thomas

A couple of weekends ago we went to a Day Out with Thomas.  Patrick is obsessed with Thomas, so I knew he would love it.  Unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there, but I don't think Patrick cared one bit.  He was in awe the whole time!  He said choo choo (which is his favorite word) about 100 times while we were there.  He was also soo good on the train.  It was a 25 minute train ride and he just sat there the whole time looking out the window.

He was amazed when he saw Thomas for the first time

They had Thomas videos playing under the tent since it was raining and he loved it

So excited!

Football Weekend

Last weekend Michael and I went to Atlanta for the UT and Auburn games.  The UT game was on Friday night, so we sent Patrick to school and headed to Atlanta friday morning.  Patrick dressed up in his UT clothes for school and matched daddy.

After we got to Atlanta, we got ready and headed to the game.  One of Michael's friends rented a party bus to take all of us to the game so we wouldn't have to worry about drinking and driving and parking at the game which was really nice!

We left Patrick with Nana and Grumps for the weekend.  Megan and Ryan decided to go to the game too so Patrick's cousin, Harper, joined Patrick for a sleepover at Nana's.  When we were on the bus, we got this picture from Nana of Patrick and Harper.

The boys on the bus

Michael and I at the game.  We had great seats on the 8th row in the student section, thanks to Michael's brothers.

A few pictures of the boys at the game

Nana sent us this picture of Patrick and Harper after the first UT touchdown.  Patrick is obviously amazed by the touchdown!

UT won and we had a great time at the game!  When we woke up we had this picture from Nana that said "we survived the night."  I am so glad they did well, because i'm sure both of them at the same time was quite a handful!  Patrick did wake up once at midnight, but luckily Nana had not gone to bed yet.  I think they watched an episode of Thomas the Train and everything was all better and he went back to sleep.

On Saturday night we went to the Auburn game.  The game was good, but it wasn't a good outcome for Auburn.  We still had fun though!  I am so glad we ended up going to Atlanta for the weekend.  We were hesitant at first, since its the busiest time of year for us and I knew going would mean I would have to work on labor day and late the whole next week, but it was definitely worth it!  We are going to the beach with my family next week and I am ready to spend some much needed time with Patrick before our next big deadline at work!  I can't wait!
