Disney World Family Vacation 2022 (Part 5)

For our last day in Disney World, we headed to Hollywood Studios. The kids were exhausted so we slept in a little bit and got there past opening time.

We had a rough start to our morning. It was a Saturday, so when we got there the lines were already really long. We also tried to reserve Genie+ when it opened at 7am and the earliest time we could get Star Wars and Slinky dog rides passes were in the late afternoon. We decided to go on the new ride, Mickey and Minnie's railway first. It was a long wait, but a really cute ride!

Then the boys decided to try and ride a few bigger rides. Unfortunately, they got stuck in about 4 lines and all of the rides shut down. It was pretty frustrating for them. Meanwhile, Caitie and I got a big Mickey pretzel and then went to watch Frozen sing-along. It was hysterical! So many parent jokes and Caitie loved all of the singing.

The boys decided to take a break from standing in line and we met them for a snack and a drink.  We rode a few rides before lunch. The boys rode Rockin Roller Coaster and we rode Smugglers Run and Rise of the Resistance.

We had a late lunch at Minnie's Halloween Dine at Hollywood and Vine. The food was delicious and the little two were excited about meeting the characters in their Halloween costumes.

Goofy was so excited about Patrick's hat that he ran and got a sharpie to sign his hat.

In the afternoon we rode Toy Story Mania a few times, Slinky dog dash and Alien Swirling Saucers. We headed back late afternoon to watch a little bit of the UT game and get ready for the PWC party. The little ones were really excited to meet more characters and dance.

Caitie was the most excited to meet Anna and Elsa. She loves them!

Around 9pm we left the party to try and spend the last hour in the pool. We caught the Epcot fireworks from the room. We had no idea that we had a firework view room, so it was such a nice surprise.

We headed to the pool and had fun a lot of fun swimming until it closed. We had such a great Disney vacation! It was so nice to have our dinner's planned for us, with great characters and fun dancing!  We left at 4am the next morning to make it back in time for flag football. The kids were such troopers getting up and ready after such a late night!

Disney World Family Vacation- Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (Part 5)

On Friday night we attended Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.  PWC had a quick dinner with grab and go items before the party. They also had face paint for the kids. The little two went down early and got face paint.

Caitie was all about the sparkles.

Conor went in character and got a beard.

Family pic before we headed to the party.

We took a picture in front of the castle before we headed for the rides. We tried our best to be in character.

Michael caught so much grief for wearing a Grumpy shirt. All of the cast members interacted with him and it was really funny.

Then we headed straight for the rides. It was a sold out party, so it was pretty packed. We wanted to try all of the themed rides, since we hadn't been to the Halloween party before. We trick or treated on the way to Big Thunder Mountain. Caitie had loved Big Thunder Mountain in the morning, so we headed there first. Conor and Caitie were begging to ride Splash Mountain so Michael rode with them and left me his phone. Unfortunately, the ride broke down while they were on it and they had to sit in the ride for about an hour. Patrick and Peyton and I were too nervous to leave them there because we had Michael's phone. It ate up a lot of our party time and we were pretty bummed about it.

We rode Pirates of the Caribbean, which was themed for the party. It was fun to see real pirates in the ride. We also rode Mine Train, which we were really excited about since we were dressed perfectly for it!

Caitie and I rode Mad Tea Party, which had some great lights for Halloween. The boys passed in favor of a snack.

We went to Monster's, Inc. laugh floor since it was also themed for Halloween. It was so funny and we stayed in there a long time listening to all the jokes. Conor always gets chosen for anything that involves volunteers. There is just something about that sweet boy. His smile really does light up a room.

He was chosen to speak and do a spooky laugh. It was so cute and funny!

Of course they made fun of Grumpy multiple times. Poor Michael was such a good sport. The kids thought it was pretty funny that he kept getting picked on.

The big boys and I rode Space Mountain, which was also themed for Halloween. They played spooky music and it was pitch black dark in the ride. We finished just in time to see the end of the fireworks.

We decided to trick or treat a little more and then head for the Hocus Pocus Villian Spectacular.

The Hocus Pocus show was at 10:45pm and we had planned to watch the show and then stay for the 11:15pm parade. However, sweet little Conor and Peyton were passed out on the concrete. Caitie was also asleep in the stroller we had rented.  We decided to pass on the parade and head out right after the show. The show was really good though, so I am glad we were able to see it.

We had a lot of fun at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party!
