Denton and John's Wedding

The day after Thanksgiving, we woke up bright and early to head to Captiva Island for Denton and John's wedding. We arrived mid-day and went swimming in the pool. The kids really loved the slide. Kids weren't able to use wings on the slide, so Peyton made do without. I was so proud of my little buddy!

Then we got dressed and headed for a cocktail party to start off the wedding weekend.

The boys with the happy couple

We posed with the life size cut-outs of Denton and John

The weather was absolutely perfect and it was such a pretty view!

We spent all day Saturday lounging by the pool and the beach. My parents had rented cabanas for the wedding party, so it was nice to have a place to go back to and rest in the shade.

The rehearsal dinner was Saturday night and it was in a gorgeous setting on the beach. The boys were able to take off their shoes and dig their feet in the sand. They loved it. It was also really delicious food. We all enjoyed ourselves!

The groomsmen were matching shirts. Denton joined them for a picture

By the time we finished the rehearsal, it was already dark. So we didn't get a great family picture. But I had to document these sweet little boys. Love when they get all dressed up!

Our balcony in our room had a gorgeous view of all the boats.

Sunday was the wedding day!! The girls started the morning at a cute little house getting our makeup and hair done. Here is the beautiful bride!

The bridesmaids. Loved the outfits Denton picked out for everyone. She was so thoughtful to pick out something a little different for me. I can only imagine trying to squeeze a 7 month pregnant belly in those cute little pajamas :)

My two big boys. So handsome!

Just for fun, I thought I would show how Conor felt about taking family pictures

Take 1...hand to the face

Take 2...grumpy pout

I'll save you the next 25 takes.... but they look pretty similar to the first two :/  We decided to get smart and just bribe him with apple juice. I'll take what I can get these days :)

The gorgeous bride

The only way to get to the wedding venue was to ride by golf cart or trolley. We had fun being carted in a golf cart all day.

The ceremony was so sweet and had the most amazing views. Unfortunately, the lanterns that were intended for John's grandparents didn't work out. You can see all of the groomsmen trying to block the wind to light the lanterns. It will definitely make a great story one day!

So gorgeous!

I didn't get a picture of the pathway lit up at night. But it was such a gorgeous entrance into the reception site.

The reception looked exactly what I would imagine for Denton's style. I think they captured it perfectly! I loved all the natural green colors.

Aren't the table cards just adorable!?!?

The Kerrigans!

We all had such a blast dancing the night away. The band was wonderful! I think all of my boys spent the majority of the time on the dance floor!

Sweet little Conor dancing with the flower girl. He was trying to hold her hand and hug her...it was just precious. Also, I can't get over how big he is! She is 4 and a half and he is only 2 and they are the same size!

Love Patrick's little jig

And when they got tired of dancing there was plenty of wrestling to go around. Boys...

We had kept the boys out way past their bedtime for 3 nights in a row! They were all exhausted by the end. Peyton and Conor fell asleep at the end of the night.

It was such a wonderful weekend. The weather was gorgeous and everything was so beautiful. We are so happy for you Denton and John. It was such an honor to be a part of your big day!!

Thanksgiving 2017

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. We celebrated with the Mulloy family, since the Whitson family was in Florida preparing for Denton's wedding.

The big boys started the Thanksgiving holiday by staying the night at the lake house with Nana and their cousins. Michael, Conor and I stayed behind to finish packing.

Patrick read books to his brother and cousins in the bunk bed room

Michael, Conor and I drove up and joined the rest of the family for a late lunch/early Thanksgiving dinner. The boys had a great time playing with their cousins and did not want to take any pictures. So...this is the only picture of the three of them from Thanksgiving.

Don't they look so happy to be taking a family picture?

Aunt Megan and Conor

The Mulloy Family. We will be adding 2 more to the mix next year! Can't wait!

We ate a delicious Thanksgiving meal. Then we changed the boys into their pajamas and jumped in the car so we could prepare for our 3:30am wake up call for vacation!

Halloween 2017

On Sunday, we went to the Hillwood Halloween party with the boys cousins. They had fun on the hay ride, decorating pumpkins and dancing.

Our crew

Next up was Peyton's pre-k Halloween party. Conor and I were able to attend for about half the party, before Conor became too impatient.

Peyton's cute little class

Unfortunately, I didn't get to attend Patrick's Halloween party this year. They only asked for a couple of parent volunteers and specified that no younger siblings were allowed to join. Patrick was pretty upset I couldn't make it, so I surprised him at lunch the next day while his younger brothers were at school. He loves visitors for lunch since all of the kids want to sit next to whoever has a special visitor :)

Next up was Halloween night. We all dressed up as Monster's University characters. I had originally planned to opt out of dressing up this year, but Patrick said that we had to do a family theme. I assume I only have a couple more years of him wanting to match with his family, so we went with it.

We visited with GG before trick or treating.

Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of them trick-or-treating. Mostly because I was trying to keep up with Patrick he was sprinting from house to house. All boys absolutely loved it this year. It was a fun night!

Checking out their candy after Halloween. Both boys completely filled their buckets and were asking if we could bring pillow cases next year.

Love these sweet little moments with my boys!
