Battle at Bristol

Michael was so excited to head to a once in a lifetime game at Bristol Motor Speedway. The boys and I dropped him off at his bus bright and early on Friday morning.

Some of his crew

Michael took approximately 75 videos, but here is one of the stadium

Somehow he made it on the field after the game

I'm not quite sure what to say about this video!

Pretty sure Michael had the time of his life at this game!

Father Ryan Game

We headed to the Father Ryan game for homecoming night. They had a lot of blow up bouncy slides and the kids ran around the gym having a blast.

Michael and Patrick with their goody bag items

They were pretty worn out by game time, so we didn't last that long.  They had a blast running around and watching all the fun.  Maybe next year we can actually make it to half time.

First Cross Country Meet

Patrick had his first cross country meet last Sunday and he was awesome!

We had no idea what to expect at this meet. I ran cross country when I went to school at Overbrook years ago and mistakenly thought it would be a similar laid back experience. We left our house at 12pm for a 1pm meet, thinking that would be plenty of time since the kindergarteners are the first runners. We barely made it in time for his warm up! The line to get into Overbrook and the parking was absolutely ridiculous.  I assumed that only the catholic schools in Davidson county were included in the meet. Umm....no, every single private school in the area was included.  There are even a few catholic school included that are an hour away!

There were a half dozen food trucks, people who were camped out with tents for an all day event and masses of people. We were completely unprepared! We got there just in time for Patrick to walk the course with his team. He had never seen the course and it was pretty confusing! It was also very very HOT. The meet is during the two little boys naps and they were fussy and tired and very hot. Michael and I had a lot of trouble keeping up with the two little boys while also trying to see Patrick and cheer him on!

A couple of days before the meet, we learned that the Kindergartners course was 3/4 of a mile. We originally thought it was going to be 1/4 of a mile (around a tree like I used to do). There were 176 Kindergarten runners. This is how they started out.....

They start out in the middle of the field and then run around the track. It's hard to make out in the video, but Patrick is one of the front leaders on the track. And here he is about halfway through the run.....in FIRST place!!!

And the end....

Before the meet we told Patrick that we were really proud of him for working so hard at his cross country practices and to try his best today.  We explained to him that it was important that he finished the race, even if he needed to walk or was near the back. We did not expect him to excel as much as he did! He ended up in 5th place out of 176 runners with a time of 7:03. He was so excited and loved that everyone was high-fiving him and cheering him on. Can't wait to see this little guy in his next meet! Way to go big boy!!!

Conor- 19 Months

Conor is 19 months old!

He is growing so fast and will be 2 before I know it! He reminds me so much of Patrick at this age. He is extremely stubborn and definitely has a temper. He can hold his own with his brothers and will bite them in a second if they make him upset!

He loves to cuddle and insists upon big cuddles and hugs before nap and bedtime. He loves music and loves to dance.

He fights nap like crazy and usually ends up dropping for a nap in the most random of places! He even wandered to Patrick's shower and fell asleep in the shower in the 1 minute I was picking up his toys!

Loves to swim, as long as mom and dad are right by him!

He spends most of his Saturdays supporting his brothers at their soccer games. You can usually find him screaming on the sidelines because mom and dad will not allow him to go on the field and play with the big boys!

He loves the park!

He is starting to try and play with Peyton, although they seem to fight over toys more than they are able to play recently.

Love that big grin!

Such a cutie!

More park time!

I tricked you mom and dad!

He hates reading, but we are working on it. One minute later the book was thrown across the room :)

But most of all this baby loves to cuddle and gives kisses. He loves to snuggle with me and I just adore it!!

Love you Conor!!!

Summer Bucket List 2016

I had all three boys at home all summer, with the exception of Patrick doing a week long half day Lego camp. So, I knew we had to come up with lots of fun activities to keep us all from going crazy! Patrick and I sat down and talked about all the fun things we wanted to do this summer. Together we came up with the following list.

I thought it was a rather ambitious list, but we managed to check off all of the items but two. Hopefully we can check those two off the bucket list this fall. Patrick has already asked if we can make a fall bucket list :)

And going down the list...

The Cumberland Splash Park. The boys had a blast! Unfortunately, we only made it there once this summer.

We headed to the Zoo with Nana, Harper and Brooks. It was a HOT day, so this is the only picture I got of the boys!

I bought 10 visits to Bounce U off of Groupon for about $5 and it was such a hit with the boys. We would go for a couple hours in the morning and then the two little boys would take a great nap.

And Finding Dory with the big boys! They loved the movie and were so excited to go.

The boys begged to go to Lowe's Build and Grow with Michael and had a blast building with him.

Building and story time at the Bellevue library

Family bowling night

We saw the Cheekwood playhouses

We went to the Adventure Science Center numerous times, since it was Patrick's favorite place. Here are a couple pictures of the boys.

We had a few family movie nights. Watching some of the boys favorites, Finding Nemo, Angry Birds, and Zootopia.

Lots of fun at the Cornerstone Indoor Playground

A trip to LegoLand Discovery on the way to and from the beach

We started off the summer with our main bucket list item....a trip to the beach!  Here are the boys on the first night.

And a little family picture on the beach

Tubing at the Lake. The boys think jumping on and off the float means tubing :)

Donuts at the park

Family pictures at the park

4th of July Fireworks and fun

Water day at home

Monster Jam

Irish Picnic

Bicentennial

Centennial Park

Labor Day

We went swimming with Big and Allie lots, but unfortunately I think I was too busy chasing around babies to take a single picture!

It was a wonderful summer and I am already looking forward to next summer!
