Music City Invitational Tournament

We spent Halloween weekend in Murfreesboro for a soccer tournament for Patrick. He played with a select group in the Music City Invitational. He had such a great game and even scored a goal from mid-field! It's hard to score a goal when you solely play defense, so it was really exciting! His team did so great and tied for 1st with a nationally ranked team. We were so excited for him!

His biggest fan club! These other three are such troopers!

Proud of this sweet boy!

UT Homecoming

Michael got last minute tickets to the UT Homecoming game and took the boys to the game. They were so excited to go since UT is having such an amazing season.  They woke up at 5 am and headed to Knoxville for the game.

They found the Kelly's and tailgated with them.

These two are adorable!

The boys sat with Nana and Mamaw at the game. Mamaw was being honored as one of the previous homecoming queens (and the oldest still present!) at the game. It was exciting for the boys to be able to cheer her on!

The boys celebrated the amazing win with dinner at Clancy's tavern.

While the boys were at the game, Caitie and I went to a birthday party and had a lot of fun!

The boys got back home really late that night and were exhausted from such a fun weekend!

Daddy Daughter day

Caitie stays at home on Tuesday's and Thursday's instead of going to school this year. Conor's field trip was on a Thursday, so Michael stayed home with Caitie so that I could chaperone the field trip. She has swimming practice on Thursday and she was so excited to show her dad how far she has come in swimming. She kept saying she is "so exciting to show daddy."

After swimming they took my car to get an oil change and hung out downtown. She had the best time. She has been talking about this day with daddy for the past week!

She loves the Batman building

They went to the Assembly food hall for lunch

It was set up spooky for Halloween, so she kept telling us she really wanted to go back to the "spooky "westernot."

On the way back to get the car they walked by the church that Mom and Dad got married in.

They had the best day together!

Fun Friday

On Friday we had teacher conferences in the morning. All four of the kids had amazing conferences. Their teachers were so complimentary of all of them! Patrick's teacher commented that he was very bright, used his time well, is nice to everyone, excelled all around, and just a great kid to have in class. Peyton's teacher said he was a silent leader, who is very well behaved, a best friend to everyone and works really hard without ever giving up. Conor's teacher commented that he has a heart of gold, is always building up the kids around him, is always smiling, and gives his all in everything he does. Caitie's teacher said she is nice to everyone, always tries to cheer up those that are down and is exceptionally witty. The teacher told numerous stories of Caitie and jokes that we told and jokes that she understood that were lost on other 4 year olds. The teacher and I laughed so hard at her conference. At the end the teacher said she'd like to come and hang out with Caitie on a weekend because she is just so fun. She definitely is the little cherry on top for our family!

Since the kids had such great conferences we took them on a long overdue date to Legendary Milkshake bar. We tried to go multiple times this summer and it just never worked out. The kids were so excited with the surprise!

I am so proud of each of these precious little ones. I walked out of their conferences so excited for them! Way to go!

1st Grade Zoo Field Trip- Conor

Conor had his first grade field trip at the zoo and I was able to go and chaperone. It was a gorgeous day and we had so much fun!

We watched the monkeys for a really long time. They were so loud and active!

The first grade group! Such a fun day meeting more of Conor's friends!

UT vs. Alabama Game

Michael left early on Saturday morning to go to the UT vs. Alabama game in Knoxville. It was a big game! UT won against Alabama for the first time in 15 years! Fans rushed the field, the goal post was taken down and put in the river. It was an exciting game!

While Michael had fun in Knoxville, the kids and I watched the game with their cousins. It was a fun night!

Happy for my boys that UT is doing so well!

Father Ryan last home game

The kids were begging to go to the last Father Ryan game, so we decided to go last minute. There was hardly anyone there, so it wasn't crowded and the kids had lots of room to run around and throw football.

Baton Rouge- UT vs. LSU

We flew out Friday morning at 5am to New Orleans the day after we got back from Blue Ridge. We were pretty tired! Luckily the room was ready when we got to the hotel. Michael had to do a couple hours of work then we headed to lunch at Drago's. We took a rest in the hotel before dinner with the Pittman's.

The next morning we were up really early to drive to Baton Rouge. The game was at 11am and we wanted to beat the traffic and have time to tailgate for a little while. It was the perfect weather for tailgating.

We met up with Michael's brothers at the tiger cage before the game. Unfortunately we forgot to take a picture with the Pittmans!

They had great seats, but there was no breeze in the stadium and boy was it hot! I was dripping by the end of the game! UT won the game 41 to 13. It was such a great game and the Pittman's were great sports for hanging in there even though LSU didn't play very well.

After the game we drove back to New Orleans and ate at the Sports Book while watching some of the other games on TV. We had a 5am flight back to Nashville to catch Conor's last flag football game. It was a quick whirlwind of a trip, but we had a blast seeing UT do so well!
