8 Years!

Happy Anniversary to the most wonderful husband and dad to our three precious boys! I never imagined how fun life could be with this guy! How has it been 8 years already?

Here's a little trip down memory lane....

Who would have thought it would all start with an accounting recruitment dinner? We met at Fleming's in November of 2005 while interviewing for Ernst & Young. I am not sure I have mentioned this to Michael, but I just might have come home from that dinner and immediately looked him up on social media. Facebook was just starting to become popular and Myspace was also popular at the time. Does anyone even remember Myspace? Yikes, we are old! I also remember telling my parents that he looked like he enjoyed having a good time :)

Fast forward a few years to April 2008. We had dinner at Fleming's, where we met, after Michael proposed.

A couple weeks before our wedding we adopted these precious puppies. We didn't know what we were getting ourselves into with these crazy dogs!

Honeymoon in Turks and Caicos

Seriously, we were babies back then!

1st Anniversary Trip to Vegas with a Helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon

Then came our sweet little Patrick in April 2011

Our second anniversary dinner was at Flemings a couple weeks after welcoming Patrick

We headed to Napa with a couple nights in Vegas for our third anniversary. We also went to the Flemings in Vegas.

Then came our sweet little Peyton in March 2013

Our 4th Anniversary, a couple weeks after welcoming Peyton, at Flemings.

We celebrated our 5th anniversary in Napa

But, we couldn't miss out on our tradition, so we went to the Fleming's in Palo Alto, California on our way home.

Then came our third little blessing, Conor.

For our sixth anniversary, we had a laid back dinner at Flemings - 2 months after welcoming our sweet little Conor

And our seventh anniversary back at Flemings.

A couple weeks later we continued the celebration in D.C.

We spent our eighth anniversary at Fleming's and then went to L.A. Jackson, a fun rooftop bar. Michael has a work trip planned to New Orleans in a couple weeks. We decided to go a few days early to celebrate 8 years. Definitely looking forward to it!

It's been a fun ride! Here's to many more!

Easter Week

We started off the week with an egg hunt on Tuesday at Peyton's school. He was SOO excited to find the golden egg! Conor tagged along and picked up one egg and decided he was done for the day.

A couple days later we had Patrick's egg hunt at his school. I didn't get any pictures, but Patrick had fun as well. He made the cutest bowtie for the event. His easter basket is made out of a milk jug. Such a cute idea!

They had a half day on Holy Thursday, so we headed to the park with Nana, Harper and Brooks. It was hot, but a lot of fun!

Patrick was really excited to show Nana the bow tie he made. He even wore it to the park. It was a great afternoon with my boys.

Peyton was scheduled to get a cavity filled on Friday morning, so Michael stayed home with Conor and Patrick. He has a VERY big fear of the dentist. Unfortunately, the medicine didn't put him to sleep and he had a total breakdown. I'm not sure what it is about that medicine, but it makes my tender hearted child angry and a total mess!  They numbed his mouth and he just lost all self control,  he was on the ground screaming and pounding the floor. They tried to restrain him, but it did not work. After 2 1/2 hours at the dentist, they weren't able to fill the cavity. It was a complete nightmare.

I came home to these sweet pups staring at me while eating my lunch. These two drive me nuts, but they sure are cute.

After an afternoon at home recovering, we went to Nana's to dye eggs.

Patrick loved decorating the eggs. Harper and Peyton decorated one egg and decided it was more fun to play outside.

The boys had a blast playing with each other. It was the perfect start to a Holiday weekend.

On Saturday Nana took the two big boys to an egg hunt. Michael and I had a few hours alone with the baby of the family, so we decided to go on a brunch date. He was thrilled to have mom and dad all to himself, since it is a rare occasion.

Love these two

The Easter bunny came to see the boys. On Easter morning, we woke up bright and early and made it to 7:30am church. Somehow we were able to get the kids dressed and to church without letting them see their Easter baskets.

\

After church, we came back to the house and let the boys discover their Easter baskets.

I tried to snap a quick pic of my cuties. It's hard to get them all in the same place at once.

Then we headed over to Nana and Grumps for breakfast. Family pictures these days are tough!

Time for an egg hunt. Unfortunately, their cousins were sick and weren't able to make it.

Jeep riding time

After Nana's, we headed home for a rest. We headed to Belle Meade for an egg hunt in the afternoon. The boys had fun hunting eggs. They were really excited to get balloons from the balloon man, although they promptly popped and caused each child to cry hysterically :/

After the egg hunt we headed to Big and Allie's to play in the backyard and see Easter baskets at their house. The boys had fun playing tball in the backyard and running around.

It was a gorgeous Easter day celebrated with family. So thankful for my boys.
