Cheekwood Pumpkins

We didn't get the chance to make it to the pumpkin patch this year, so the week of Halloween I took the kids to Cheekwood after school. We had fun looking at all the pumpkin houses, scarecrows and trains.

We picked out our pumpkin!

They always love looking at the trains

She had trouble seeing the trains, so Patrick helped her see them. They are all so sweet to her. I love it.

Love fun afternoons with these four!

Boo at the Zoo

We had been so busy this fall that we had not been able to fit in Boo at the Zoo (or a pumpkin patch!). The Sunday before Halloween we headed to Boo at the Zoo with the Dunn's for the last date. It had rained Friday and Saturday night, so Boo at the Zoo was packed on Sunday. We got there right as it opened and the kids didn't seem to notice the crowds at all.

Caitie's outfit didn't come in time, so I made her outfit that morning. She hated her costume at first, but got used to it after a while.

Caitie thought trick or treating was really fun but got upset if someone wouldn't hand the candy directly to her so she could put it in her basket herself. Of course we couldn't keep track of the boys. They ran ahead of us slow pokes.

Caitie was terrified of the princesses, even though Rapunzel is her favorite.

The hayride was fun and not scary. The big boys went to the Haunted House, while Caitie and Conor and I hung out. We stayed until it closed. It was a fun night at the zoo!

Titans Game

The Sechrist's invited us to their box for the Titans Game on Sunday. We decided to leave Caitie at home with a sitter and took the boys.

The boys were so excited to go with all of their friends

Peyton was the most excited about the dessert cart

Mini high school reunion for Michael

It was an amazing game that came down to the last minute! Peyton and Michael were doing their dance at the end!

It was a fun afternoon with friends!

1st Grade Field Trip to the Zoo

Peyton had a field trip to the zoo on a gorgeous fall day. They asked for a few volunteers and it worked out that I was able to go with him. Siblings are not allowed on field trips, so Michael took the other two to Conor's speech therapy and then to the office with him.

Each mom was in charge of 2 or 3 kids. Our group decided they wanted to go and see the giraffe's first. There is a photobomber in our picture below.

They were most excited to check out the tigers next

After making our way through the zoo, we stopped to have lunch on the picnic tables.

Peyton is very well behaved at school, but in his free time he also acts as the class clown. Literally every one of Peyton's friends told me that he is the "funniest kid in school." I asked them to pose for a quick picture and this is what I got.

It was a fun afternoon with my middle boy! I made it downtown just in time to pick up the little two and bring them home for a 45 minute nap before school pick-up. Caitie gave Michael a hard time at the office, so she was out like a light by the time we got home.
