Preds Ice Center- Learn to Skate Classes

The kids love watching hockey and going to Predators games with their dad. Since they love hockey, I signed Patrick and Peyton up for 8 weeks of ice skating lessons. The program is free for all first time skaters ages 6-12. We did not have many activities this winter because of covid and had some free time in our schedules. If they enjoyed ice skating I planned to enroll them in hockey classes next.  The first lesson was a struggle and the boys both admitted that it is much harder than it looks.

By the 8th week both of the boys decided that hockey is not their sport! I was sort of relieved. It is a lot of work with all of the hockey gear and lacing up those skates!

We passed the Learn to Skate class! It was still a good experience and I think they will be much more comfortable on the ice if they go out with friends to skate.

Their final performance was so cute. They did a great job!

Proud of them for trying something that was out of their comfort level! Now maybe they can teach me to ice skate!

January Fun

We are inside so much in January, I always forget to take many pictures. We have mostly been having friends over to hang by the fire, roasting lots of s'mores and playing basketball!

We had one pretty day in the morning so Caitie and I went to the park. It was a little muddy from all the rain.

Peyton went for a hike with Minor and Big. She loved walking with him.

Two of Conor's best buds have birthdays the two weeks ahead of his birthday. They had two weeks in a row of fun party time after basketball games.

Patrick had a party at the Brentwood Skate center.

Peyton had a fun spend the night with 4 of his friends.

Loved starting to feel a little more busy!

Sharon's Birthday

The kids went over to Nana's after school for her birthday. They ate cupcakes and played with their cousins. Sweet little Charlie wasn't having it in the picture. It was freezing outside!

Happy Birthday Nana!

Conor's First Basketball game

Conor was so excited for his first basketball game. He has a small team of 6 teammates and they were all so excited for their first game.

Conor was everywhere on the court. We were all so impressed with his hustle and aggressiveness on the court!

Way to go Conor! We are so excited to have you playing this year!

New Years Eve 2020

We were quarantined for New Years Eve so we had to stay in with our little family this year.  We tried to still make it festive for the kids. They requested lots of fun foods. So we made a meat and cheese platter, steak kabobs, stuffed peppers and not pictured but lots of chick-fil-a chicken nuggets. We also had a fun spread of desserts that we had at the house. We got cotton candy to go with their "sparkle juice."

They were all pretty excited about it and couldn't wait to dig in!

We also had a special cookie delivery from Nana

Caitie noticed all the performers on the t.v. and got out her own microphone to give us a little performance. She is definitely our little firecracker.

The kids stayed up until about 11:45 after we watched the ball drop in NYC. It was a really fun night with our sweet little family!
