Patrick- 11 Weeks

My sweet little Patrick is 11 weeks old. He has been so much fun lately. He is just the happiest little baby and smiles at me all day! He is starting to laugh and it is just adorable. He lets out this little grunt/squeal and it cracks me up. Whenever Michael or I laugh he just stares in amazement.

Just a few pictures from the week...

Learning to laugh :)

Loving my mobiles

Patrick's been trying to sit in his bumbo seat. He isn't quite ready yet since he can only sit in it for a couple seconds by himself but he sure is cute giving it a try!

This is also a video of Patrick talking, which he did all morning long. He apparently has lots to tell us about! He was laughing but I couldn't get him to do it again for the video camera.

Going swimming with Aunt Megan. I hated it since the water was cold from the rain, but at least I dressed cute for the occasion.

I was much happier inside with my Nana

And this is what the dogs have been up to... looking over their back yard waiting for a chipmunk to move so they can chase it around.

Patrick's Baptism and Father's Day

Michael had been in Vegas all week and we were so excited to have him back home for Father's Day weekend! The dogs were especially excited and didn't leave his side on Saturday.

Below is a picture of Turk and Bailey waiting for Dad to get home while he was in Vegas. Poor T & B didn't understand why dad didn't come home when it got dark. They waited for him for hours by the front door.

On Saturday night Michael and I had an engagement party to go to. We had planned to only go for a short amount of time while my sister watched Patrick. However, Michael's sister also wanted to watch him, so we were able to have a really fun night out! We went to Sperry's after the party to celebrate Father's Day. It was so nice to have a fun night out with Michael while the aunts took turns watching Patrick!

Sunday was Fathers day and Patrick's baptism. Patrick did such a great job! He was wearing a beautiful little gown that his great grandmother Clancy, Nana (and all her siblings) and Michael (and all his siblings) wore for their baptisms. Such a sweet tradition. We had brunch catered from Loveless after Patrick's baptism with all of our family. It was the perfect Sunday!

Patrick smiled at his Dad the whole time Father Mike was talking about him

Also, Happy Father's Day to my wonderful dad!

I am so thankful for you both!

Birthday Parties

Patrick had his first non-family member babysitter this weekend. Michael and I were going to the Swan Ball and didn't have anyone to watch him so we called green hills nanny service. I was a little nervous about it, but it turned out great! When I came back she mentioned that he was only content if she held him over her shoulder. I realized I had forgotten to mention that to her and was hoping he didn't cry for her the whole time! Such a particular little baby :)

Swan Ball

Patrick attended his first birthday party this weekend for Zane, who turned 1. Patrick will be going to daycare with Zane starting in August. It was fun to see what we have to look forward to with little boys birthday parties. Afterwards we headed to Michael's parents house for Michael and Mark's birthday dinner. It had been a long day for Patrick, so he is giving me his pouty face in this picture.

Rocky loves Patrick and is always right by his side whenever we visit Nana and Grumps house

Michael headed to Vegas with his Dad and brothers for Mark's 21st birthday. They will be gone from Tuesday afternoon through late Friday night. It's my first time overnight with Patrick by myself! Hopefully Patrick sleeps some for me....

A little more sleep, maybe?

Patrick is 9 weeks old and slept his first 6 hour stretch! Way to go lil buddy! He hasn't continued this trend, but maybe I can start to hope for a little more of the 6 hour stretches instead of the usual 3 hours! He has also really started to get into his mobiles. I can finally put him in his swing or on his playmat for a few minutes without him screaming. He actually really enjoys it. He smiles, kicks hard and has started trying to reach for the mobiles. It's pretty funny. I'll try and post a video of it soon.

Michael's 10 year reunion was this past weekend. They made videos when they were seniors about where they thought they would be in 10 years. Michael said that he thought he would be an accountant, married, and have 2 kids. Pretty close!

Patrick- 2 Months & Going- Away Party

Patrick is 2 months old! He had his 2 month doctors appointment yesterday and he weighs 10 lbs, 3 ounces and is 23 inches long. He is 25% in weight, 50% in height and 10% in head circumference. He also had his 2 month shots and it just broke my heart! The poor little guy turned purple and forgot to breathe. He only cried for a few minutes afterwards, so I was really proud of him. He has also developed this little yellow rash right around his eyebrows and forehead that I asked the doctor about. The doctor said its really common and is called cradle cap and doesn't bother them at all. Unfortunately there isn't anything I can do about it!

He is also smiling a lot now and trying really hard to laugh. He has started occasionally making a little squeal when he smiles! It's so funny!

I packed up all of Patrick's newborn clothes this week. It made me kind of sad to pack them all up! They still fit around his little body, but they were all just too short on him and won't fasten. I'm glad he is getting a little taller! Please excuse all of his clothes in the pictures below. The next size up from newborn are still big on him and look pretty silly!

Below are a few pictures of Patrick from the past week

His hair seems to be getting a little more of a reddish tint

He started squealing while I was taking this picture and spit out a little of his breakfast...too cute not to post though :)

Cheering dad on at his softball game

We also hosted a going away party at our house for my boss Julie last night. She is moving to Milwaukee for a really good opportunity with E&Y. I'm glad she will still be with the firm, but I am just so bummed about her not being in Nashville anymore. She has been my boss since day 1 and I have been working with her for 5 years. She is my counselor and my mentor and the one person I could always talk to about work or my personal life or anything! She is the main reason I have loved working at E&Y, so i'm a little nervous about going back after maternity leave and not having her there! I know it will work out though!

My mom and dad had the fun experience of watching Patrick during the party last night. He wasn't feeling very good after his shots and got a little irritable for them. My mom had fed him two bottles and then called me and I could barely hear her because he was screaming so loudly in the background! I rushed over there and he seemed to be running a little fever from his shots. He was just fine after some tylenol though!

Michael's 10-year reunion is tonight and he has been working so hard on planning it. I can't wait to go. Michael's mom and dad are watching Patrick tonight. We are just so lucky to have both sets of grandparents within a couple miles of us! I probably wouldn't enjoy myself out as much if he was with a babysitter, since he is still so young. So thanks to both of them! We really appreciate it!
