Adventure Science Center

On Monday morning we headed to the Adventure Science Center for pre-school hour. They open an hour early for the little ones on Mondays so that they can play without the big kids there. It's also half price and includes a planetarium ticket. So it was a great deal!

The boys were so excited to be there! Unfortunately they were having so much fun, I couldn't convince them to go to the planetarium for the show. We ended up staying for almost 4 hours and I literally had to drag the two big boys out so Conor could take a nap. I ended up buying an annual pass before leaving so that we can go back on some cold winter days and during the summer as well.

They played with this game for about 20 minutes. They loved this game.

The teeth chomp on this ball throwing game and the children thought it was so funny

Conor thought it was fun to look at the dinosaurs

Testing out the preschool area

Conor and I made it to the top! It's about 7 stories high and is tough to climb with a little one!

Although I love this place, it does make me a little nervous! The two big boys could climb much faster than Conor and I. There is basically an exit on every level, so I really had to trust Patrick to stay with Peyton. I also had to give Patrick very clear instructions on where to go if he was lost. I did have trouble finding the boys once and it made me pretty nervous. I think I am going to have to come up with a better system next time!

Bicentennial Capitol Mall

Last week we headed to the Bicentennial Mall for a little splash park fun. I had actually never been to the park when the splash pad was working, so it took a little while for us to figure out where to park. We ended up parking at the farmer's market and walked the couple blocks to the splash park.

The big boys had fun splashing around and running through the splash park. It was a little more difficult for Conor to run through since they are pretty powerful. We had planned to meet Michael afterwards at the Grilled Cheeserie, but they ended up not serving that day. Hoping we can try again soon!

I barely got any pictures of the children because they would not stand still long enough!! But here are the few pictures I was able to get of them.

I'm sure we will be back soon!

Cumberland Splash Park

We had a blast at the Cumberland Splash park a couple weeks ago. There was a school bus with a lot of children there, so it was pretty crowded when we arrived. Patrick was a little shy of the crowd and sat on the side for the first 15 minutes or so. Once he saw how much fun his brothers were having he jumped right in on the fun. We stayed for a few hours and had a lot of fun!

I think this boy was the most excited about the splash park

Conor was so cute and just toddled around the whole park

Can't believe how red his hair looks in this picture!

Love how they are all starting to play together so well!

Hopefully we make it back again before the summer is over, because these little boys talk about this splash park all year long!

Lowe's Build and Grow

The big boys and Michael have had a blast building superheroes at the Lowe's Build and Grow. They built Falcon the first week.

They had so much fun building Falcon that they asked to go back again. Big joined Michael and the boys to build Thor. They are already asking when they can go back to build the next superhero.

Love this one of the boys

Donuts at the Red Caboose Park

When making our summer bucket list, Patrick immediately shouted out that we had to have donuts at the "maze" park and we had to have a picnic in the park. It was the two activities on the list that he was so excited about. So a couple weeks ago we finally marked it off our bucket list. We headed to Dunkin Donuts to pick up some donuts to eat at the park. Unfortunately, we picked a HOT day! We went very early, but it was already pretty hot. We were only able to stay at the park for about an hour before we were all just dripping and had to head home.

This little boy was pretty darn excited about getting his own donut!

He is so darn cute!

Conor- 17 Months

Conor is 17 months old!

This child is a handful! Way more than my other children. Unfortunately, I do not have many pictures from this month because we have been hibernating inside. Not only is it incredibly hot outside, but Conor threw a cell phone at my head and I had a massive head injury (story coming soon!). It took me a couple of weeks to recover and really feel like myself, so I didn't bother with taking many pictures. We did a few fun outings during the second half of the month though!

We went to Bounce U to wear out some energy

He loves throwing and does not quite understand the concept of someone being in his way!

Pool day in the back yard

4th of July

This picture is in black and white because of the massive bruise on my forehead. I looked like I had been beaten up! Maybe Conor will be a quarterback one day and I can tell the stories of what a great arm he had when he was just an infant!

Oh Conor! We love you so much! Hopefully we don't have another crazy month like this one though!

Cornerstone Indoor Playground

My boys LOVE the chick-fil-a indoor playground, but it is so small, gets so loud and I get pretty tired of eating at chick-fil-a. So I searched the internet for another fun indoor playground. I read about Cornerstone Indoor Playground (which is part of a church) on the Nashville Fun for Families blog and decided we had to try it out. So we put it on our summer bucket list and headed to Madison to test it out (about a 15 minute drive).

This place was AWESOME! The facility is so nice and it looks brand new.  When I called about their hours I was told it was open from 8am-8pm and is free to the public, which is pretty awesome. There were so many great features there and I am sure we will be back soon. There is a little cafe on the bottom floor where you can get snacks and coffee. I also saw lots of families bring their lunch and eat on one of the tables on the bottom floor. The bathrooms were spotless. There was a nursing room for new moms. There was also a little play area for the small kids right next to the big kids playground so that you can keep an eye on all of your kids. Patrick declared it the "most funnest day ever." We went on a rainy day, so it was pretty crowded. Although the play place is so large that the kids did not notice one bit.

The under 2 play area

You can see the big play area is just through the glass on the other side, so it was pretty easy to keep track of all the kids.

The big play area. This is just one side of the play area, there is another whole side where I did not get any pictures.

Patrick and Peyton up at the top. I will say that I had to climb up there with Conor and it was pretty easy for me to get up there. I did not notice any other parents in the play area though, so i'm not sure if it was allowed or not.

Fun day with my cuties!

Bounce U

One of the kids summer bucket list items was to go to Bounce U for play time.  I happened to have a few free passes, so we decided to try it out last week. We had a wonderful morning with only a couple other people. It was great!

This little guy was happing throwing balls around the whole time

Bounce U was so successful last week, that we decided to try it again! Their open bounce is perfect in the morning and the boys tend to fall asleep in the car on the way home and get a little bit of a rest in!

It was a rainy day and was absolutely PACKED this time! It was full of a lot of big kids, so it was a little intimidating for my little ones this time around. They still had a blast though!

We headed back on another rainy day and it was pretty busy! Here are a couple of more pictures of these bouncy house loving kiddos!

Conor is serious about his throwing!

We have one more free voucher and I am pretty sure these kids are going to be begging to go back again soon!
