Murfreesboro Day Trip

We decided to have a little day trip to Murfreesboro. We got started a little later than I had planned, so it was pretty hot when we arrived at Miracle Field. The kids still had a blast playing. It's a fun park!

We headed to Culvers to get some lunch. The kids thoroughly enjoyed their food and ice cream. Next up was the Earth Experience. It's a sweet little place that has lots minerals and fossils. Patrick really loved learning about all of the rocks and fossils. The other kids were a little young, but I think Patrick really loved learning from all of the professors that volunteered there.

Patrick has been into geography lately, so he insisted we find the middle point of Tennessee. He was a little disappointed when we arrived in a not so great area and found this structure. He said he thought there would be a park or something exciting to celebrate the middle of Tennessee :)

It was a fun day out in Murfreesboro!

Cheekwood Playhouses

We headed to get donuts and to check out the cheekwood playhouses one morning.

They always love watching the trains

It had rained a lot the day before, so it was muddy and very hot! We still had a blast though!

Nashville Sounds Game

We went with some friends to the Nashville Sounds game on Saturday night.

Right after this picture was taken a storm rolled in and we made our way to the garage for the rain delay.

We ate grilled cheese sandwiches on blankets in the garage. The kids thought it was pretty fun. The storm also made for a gorgeous sky!

After the hour rain delay, we headed back into the stadium. This little girl enjoyed a huge icee all to herself while her brothers ran around playing tag.

The boys were a little disappointed that we had to leave before the game was over and are already asking when we can go back again. It was a fun Saturday night!

Bowling

Conor went to school on Wednesdays for a month this summer, so I took the opportunity to take the big kids bowling.

Caitie took a turn too

Fun day with these sweet ones!

Lake Day

We headed up for the day to spend some time with cousins. The kids had a great Sunday!

Orange Beach Summer Vacation (Part 3)

Our last day started with another fun day on the beach. There was a pretty big storm coming in, so the ocean had double red flags. We made sure to tell the kids they could only go in up to their ankles. They still had lots of fun playing in the sand and jumping around in the water when it came up to shore.

The sky looks a little ominous in most of these pictures, but the weather held off all day for us and worked great with the extra shade from the clouds.

Admiring the big waves

Love a good picture of my handsome boys

Sweet little girl took a nice little snooze on the beach

The boys swam while Caitie and I went out to the beach before dinner. I took about 100 photos of her. I just love this sweet little one!

Seriously, she is just the cutest! I can't get enough of her!

The next morning we packed up and headed back to Nashville. Unfortunately, Louisiana was evacuated because of the incoming storm so the roads were packed! It took us about 10 hours to get home. So we decided to stop mid drive at a Chuck-e-Cheese so we could burn off some of the kids energy.

They won lots of great prizes and had a blast playing all the games.

Such a fun vacation with my sweet family!
