Peyton- 3 Months

My sweet little Peyton is 3 months old

He is growing so fast! This sweet little guy has just outgrown his 6 month sleepers and is about to be in some 9 month clothes! He barely even wore any 3-6 month clothes! It is so different from Patrick! In fact, I think Patrick and Peyton might wear the same size very soon (for reference, Patrick still wears 12 month shorts and pants!) Whenever I take Peyton somewhere and someone asks how old he is, they immediately say something to the effect of, "oh my, that is a large baby!" I wouldn't have it any other way though! He is so happy and healthy!

He loves to giggle and whenever I make funny sounds at him, he smiles so big! I absolutely adore it!

He loves to kick on his playmat and watch his brother play. Although sometimes he seems a little scared of Patrick. I think Patrick loves on him a little too hard! It does melt my heart when Patrick gets home everyday and hugs Peyton and says "I love baby." Is there anything sweeter?

Peyton is such a good sleeper! In fact, he is a much better sleeper than Patrick is now! Peyton goes to bed around 9 or 9:30pm, wakes up around 3am to nurse and then normally sleeps until 6 or 7am. I am still working on getting him to sleep in his crib though. He has a little cold now, so he still likes to be in the room with me. Hopefully I can work on getting him to sleep in his own room soon.

Peyton is also in a pretty good routine. He doesn't follow the typical 3 hour schedule and instead does best on a 2- 2 1/2 hour schedule. Sweet little guy is just so hungry :) It does make our outings a little tough since he eats so much, but he is very predictable and only cries when he is hungry or tired. Patrick ate more frequently than 3 hours too, so it's not a surprise that Peyton follows that sort of schedule.

He also LOVES the bath. I have never seen a kid like the bath more. I have to keep my eyes glued on him because he kicks so hard that he almost falls out of the whale tub! He smiles really big at me and then focuses really hard and kicks as hard as he can. It is hysterical!

I am enjoying my time with Peyton so much. I feel so blessed to have another month and a half off work with this precious little boy!

June Date Nights

For Michael's 30th birthday I gave him a year of planned out dates. I planned out a couple dates each month. Michael gets to open an envelope each month with our dates inside. Some of them are very simple, especially the earlier dates since we still have a newborn. I am really excited about them and hope we can stick to them! Michael had made a comment (and I totally agree) that we don't go out by ourselves nearly enough. Besides our big trip last year together, we have barely gone out together alone. To be honest, I was so sleep deprived with Patrick, had a rough pregnancy with Peyton and we were both working so much, that I just didn't have the time to find a babysitter or plan a night out. I know this will also make us better parents too since we will be more refreshed after our dates!

So here are some pictures from our dates:

For the first date we went to 360 Bistro and to see the Cheekwood lights. We had both never been to 360 Bistro, but had a groupon so it was the perfect time to try it out! It was awesome! We will definitely be back.

Then we headed to Cheekwood and it was packed, even at 9:30! It was so pretty! I couldn't seem to get  my camera to work correctly to capture the lights. Maybe i'll figure out how to adjust my shutter speed sometime :)

I had planned to go to the Sounds game for our second date, but it was entirely too hot so we decided to use a groupon we had to Whitfields instead. I forgot to take a picture, but we had a lot of fun!

Summer Nights and Sesame Street Live

We had a fun weekend with the boys. On Saturday we hung out at the pool all day. Here are the boys hanging out after swimming.

Kisses for baby!

It was hot outside!

"Tickling baby"

On Sunday, we took Patrick to see Sesame Street live. Patrick was a little sleepy, but I still think he had fun! At intermission, he asked to go back inside to see "Melmo." As we were walking out he said goodbye to every single character. It was pretty funny. He also insisted on wearing his "Cookie" shirt to bed and to school today.

Waiting for Sesame Street to start

Loving it!

Peyton's First Swim

Peyton went for his first swim this weekend. He was a little shocked by the cold water at first, but then loved it!

Smiling at daddy

Patrick was in no mood for pictures, but he is loving the water too.

Peyton- 11 Weeks

How precious is this face? I could just eat up those chubby cheeks!

The switch to no dairy and no caffeine has REALLY made a difference. No more crying all day! I am getting so many more smiles out of the little guy now! Love it!

Patrick asked to sit with baby the other morning after they woke up. A little off center, but so cute

And here is a little video of my cutie

Isle of Palms 2013

We went to Isle of Palms a couple weeks ago with the Clancy family (Michael's mom's side). There are 33 of us, including six kids, all of which are 2 and under! It was definitely challenging with a 2 month old and a 2 year old this year. But, it was all worth it since Patrick had a blast! I didn't leave the house the entire week, which was fine with me! There is a pool and the ocean is only a few feet away. What else do you need? Each family cooks for a night, so it is really nice not to have to worry about cooking except for one night. Unfortunately, I didn't take many pictures but I did capture a few moments!

Memorial Day fun hanging outside with the boys and playing basketball

Making animal noises with Uncle Matthew. This picture is Patrick making a whale noise and face

Patrick thinks Uncle Matthew is so funny!

Peyton watched the boys play basketball outside

Hanging outside with Michael

We tried to get a picture with the great grandchildren and Mamaw and Papaw but it didn't go well. All of the children except Peyton were crying. The great grandchildren are Dash (2.5 years), Patrick (2), Avery (1), Harper (1), Addie (4 months), and Peyton (2 months).

Five children screaming all at once and sweet little Peyton just sat there!

Our best attempt at a family picture!

Ignore the sling. Peyton enjoys napping with Michael :)

Patrick had a lot of fun swimming with his uncles and daddy

One day both of the boys napped at the same time! Yay for 30 minutes of sunbathing for mom!

Peyton's first time on the beach! Love that smile! Hate that my camera fogged up for this precious moment!

Patrick never goes anywhere without a Choo Choo!

The view from the house

Patrick had the time of his life, swimming every day with Michael and jumping in the "puddles" on the beach in the late afternoon. It was such a fun week at the beach, but I was glad to get back to our normal routine at home!
