Peyton's First Baseball Game 2020

Our morning started out at WNSL for Patrick's baseball game. It was an amazing game that ended in a really good win!

Patrick crushed it today! He pitched three innings and went three up and three down for two of them. It was so fun watching him!

Sweet little siblings watching their brother

We were up the whole game except the last inning. The other team came up from behind and we were down by 3 runs. Patrick came up to bat in the last inning with bases loaded and two outs. He had a full count and fouled off a few balls to stay in the action. He ended up with a walk to get one of our runs. Then Cruz was up with an amazing hit to knock in our final runs to win the game! It was a fun ending to a great game!

On to Peyton's first game of the season. He's playing coach-pitch in the Bellevue league. Unfortunately, the league that Patrick plays in is only machine pitch as a 7 year old, so we had to split the boy's up into different leagues. Patrick's game lasted two hours, so I was pretty late to Peyton's first game.

It was HOT at Peyton's game. I'm not sure how they played a double header in the middle of the day.

Peyton won both games by a big margin. Peyton had some amazing hits and I was so proud of him and his team!

Six hours at a ballpark in the summer heat is tough, but the kids are so excited to be playing sports again!

Date Night

Michael and I haven't been out on a date since February! We joined some friends for a fun night out at Mockingbird. It was delicious and so fun to get out of the house with other adults!

Their punch bags were so fun and yummy!

Cheekwood

We got out of the house this morning and took a little field trip to Cheekwood. The kids always love seeing the trains.

They love looking at the new spots in Cheekwood. It was a hot morning, so the kids splashed to cool off in the water.

The new kids obstacle course was fun

We didn't even make it to the scupltures on the other side of Cheekwood. We will have to go back soon!

Father's Day 2020

For Father's Day this year we went over to the Mulloy's for dinner with Gene and some swimming. The kids swam for a couple hours and then rode bikes and jeeps in the front yard.

That little pony tail!

Father's Day was pretty rainy, so our plan for swimming with my parents didn't work out. They came over for a last minute cook-out. It ended up being a nice night, so we practiced baseball in the yard and had fun hanging out.

I did a horrible job taking pictures, but it was a great couple days celebrating 3 of the best dads!

Spend the night with Nana

We had a family celebration for Mark's 30th birthday on Sunday.

A couple days later the boys had a spend the night with Nana. It is always on their bucket list every summer. They played basketball, swam, rode jeeps, scooters and bikes and went on a walk around the neighborhood. Looks like they had a fun time!

Summer Hike with Big

On Sunday morning the boys went on a hike with Big in Edwin Warner park. It was gorgeous weather. It was on the boys summer bucket to go on a hike with Big. I think they had a blast!

Patrick's First 10U Baseball game 2020

Patrick had his first kid-pitch baseball game on Saturday. This is the first year that we haven't played coach pitch, so it was a big change for the boys! The boys also have not been able to practice due to quarantine. They had to play a game with only one practice which definitely wasn't ideal! It was a close game that ended in a loss by one run. Zane, Carson and Patrick all pitched this game. Patrick pitched the last inning and I hate I didn't get a picture of him on the mound!

Unfortunately, Caitie has been getting car sick and got sick on the way to the game. I had to clean her up and watch from the car. I was only able to see a little bit of the game. Afterwards, Patrick and I headed to Minor's birthday party and then hung out at a friend's house. We are so excited to be able to play sports again!

Patrick on 3rd about to score our first run of the season!

No more handshakes...elbows only!

Is it weird that it has become a thing to cut friend's hair in the backyard? I feel like that's definitely our life now!
