Caitie's 3rd Birthday

My precious little Caitie turned 3 years old! Her birthday was the week of the big snow storm and she had the best week sledding and being home with her brothers. We picked up donuts for her special morning. She loves the pink sprinkle donuts.

Since the snow was starting to melt, we were able to go to the park and sled with Minor. Caitie had a lot of fun showing her the ropes.

She loves a good playground! A playground with snow is even more fun!

Swinging with Minor and giggling. They are so cute!

We didn't have any big party plans for Caitie since it was during a snowstorm and covid. We decided last minute to book a hotel room for an American Girl experience for the whole family. We took all of her balloons to the hotel. I love this picture of her surrounded by snow so happy about all her balloons!

When we arrived in Cool Springs at the hotel, the fire alarms were going off and there was a gas leak. We had planned to swim in the afternoon, but had to make other plans. We called the Haley's and met them at Mellow Mushroom. Caitie loves Perry, so it was the perfect little surprise for her!

They are the cutest!

We arrived at the hotel around 7pm and Caitie was so excited to see the hotel decorated in American girl things.

She brought her bitty baby that was a Christmas present a couple years ago.

The American girl package at the hotel included cookies and milk, pink decorations in the room, and a robe and bed for the American girl doll that she was able to take home. It also included pizza, but we passed since we had just eaten at Mellow Mushroom. The birthday girl requested a pink birthday cake. She was so excited when she saw it!

A new bed for her bitty baby!

We went swimming after enjoying some cake. We had the place to ourselves since it was a little late!

It was fun to be able to swim when it was still snowing outside!

The hotel didn't have a room for six, so the boys and girls had separate rooms. Caitie and I enjoyed having a room to ourselves!

Love this sweet girl!

We woke up the next morning and headed back to the indoor pool!

We had the place to ourselves again. We enjoyed a couple hours of swimming.

The original plan was to stay in Franklin and go to their basketball games. However, there was still too much snow on the ground and all of the games were cancelled. We thought it was the perfect excuse to go bowling. We ate lunch and had a blast bowling.

The bowling alley gave Caitie a special pin for her birthday.

And a special ice cream for the birthday girl!

We headed back home late Saturday afternoon after a really fun weekend celebrating our big 3 year old! We love you Caitie!

February Snow Week

We woke up to a lot of snow on President's Day and the kids were so excited! We bundled up in our snow gear and headed outside to sled.

Caitie was very hesitant to put on all her snow gear at first. She hated that her pants were grey and not pink. Once she got out there and went in the infant sled that Uncle Matt picked up for her she loved every minute.

There was so much snow that we didn't leave the house with the kids for the whole week. The kids sled all day long. We had to take lots of breaks because we definitely did not have the appropriate shoes and gloves. We had fires every night by the solo stove and hung with Uncle Matt by the fire. It was such a fun family week!

Peyton loved to build snowmen

We also had the daily meltdowns about putting on our gear. She quickly got over it after remembering how much fun it was sledding with her brothers.

Love her precious little profile

We built a Predators snowman

And of course it wouldn't be a snowstorm without snowball fights. The snow was very icy at the beginning of the week and then became the perfect fluffy snow for snowballs!

The kids were out of school all week and we had a blast out in the snow. It is the most snow we have gotten in years!
