Thanksgiving 2021

We traveled back from California on Thanksgiving and were on a plane for most of the day. We arrived pretty late and it was way past dinner time. Our oven was broken at the rental and we had no food, so we decided to go to a late dinner at Cracker Barrel on the way back from the airport. It definitely wasn't as good as our families meals and we missed seeing them!

Happy Thanksgiving!

California 2021 Family Vacation- California Adventure (Part 6)

We slept in a little bit after our late night at California Adventure. The kids were a little disappointed we didn't make it to the park by park opening. They had all come together with the park map and devised a plan for our last day so that we could ride all the rides we wanted to do again. We were only about 30 minutes late, but since it was the day before Thanksgiving it was pretty packed!

The boys headed straight for their favorite ride, the Incredicoaster.

Caitie and I played with her bubble wand and met some characters.

We rode the carousel again.

Toy Story Mania is always a favorite

Cookie snack time!

Everything was pretty crowded by this point and we felt like the kids needed to run around. We headed to the Redwood Park Challenge Trail. The kids had so much fun doing their zipline and running through the mazes. It was a great mid-day break!

Caitie was so excited to meet Anna and Elsa and Minnie. We couldn't get her to pose for a picture with Anna and Elsa because she was just too excited to wave to them.

Oswald!

She refuses to wear a jacket, so a Minnie blanket did the trick.

I took the big boys back to the Redwood Creek challenge while Michael enjoyed some of the festive cocktails and the little two slept.

Caitie really wanted to ride Mickey's Fun Wheel

We rounded out our night in Avengers Campus soaking it all in.

And that wraps up our trip to Disneyland! We had such a blast being back. Such a fun trip with the family!

California 2021 Family Vacation - Disneyland (Part 5)

Today we headed to Disneyland Park. We arrived before park opening and immediately noticed it was going to be absolutely packed! We headed for Peter Pan's flight first since it's a pretty popular ride that never seems to go down in time. Caitie and Conor loved it. Then rode the Matterhorn next. It's always fun to ride the rides we don't have on our side of the country. She spotted the teacups next and was SO excited about riding them.

Then Pinnochio's Daring Adventure and Snow White's Enchanted Wish.

She was pretty excited about riding the Carousel too!

We stopped to meet Winnie the Pooh and look at the castle

Then we popped over to Jolly Holiday's for some breakfast. We were starving! We headed over next to ride Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear Astroblasters, Star Tours, Autopia, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Pirates of the Caribbean for the rest of the afternoon. It was absolutely packed! I spent most of the time making sure I had all of my children and took no photos.

We decided to get in line for Stars Wars Rise of Resistance, which is the new ride at Disneyland. It was a pretty long wait, but we knew the wait time wasn't going to go down and decided to just do it. Well, we got all the way to the entrance of the ride and it broke down. Luckily they gave us a fastpass to return. We were all dragging by now and happened to score a last minute reservations to Oga's Cantina.  It was such a cool place. We were really hoping for a spot to sit down, but we made lemonade and the kids just sat on the floor at the bar.

Caitie tried out the blue milk

It's a Small World was closed for refurbishment, but it was so pretty all light up for Christmas!

Caitie had been begging for a bubble wand. After all of the waiting today, we decided to get her one. Caitie and Conor both loved it.

We got in time for Dumbo with about 40 minutes until the fireworks. The wait time said 20 minutes, but it was definitely not 20 minutes. We ended up being in line during the fireworks, which was a little disappointing. We could still see them from the line though!

Our annual castle picture

Conor really wanted to ride Smugglers Run in Star Wars Land again, so we headed that way. Peyton fell asleep in the stroller on the way. I hate he wasn't awake for these pictures of the boys!

It was about 11:15pm by this point and we had been in the park since 7:45am. We were all pretty exhausted and decided to call it a night.

See ya next time Disneyland!
