Peyton- 6 Months

How is Peyton already 6 months old!?!? Time is just flying by!

This sweet little cutie is so happy and loves to smile and giggle! He does not like sitting still and he is trying really hard to crawl! But, in the meantime he is rolling all over the house!

Sweet little boy is already sitting up all by himself.  He is still a little shaky and when he gets excited or wants a toy, he topples over. It's so sweet to see how excited he is when he gets to sit up and try and play with Patrick. He loves to try and play with Patrick as long as mom or dad is within reach. He seems a little nervous when I leave him on the floor next to Patrick to go get something. Patrick tends to love on him a little too hard sometimes!

He has two teeth and I think he is about to get a couple more on top. He has been gnawing on his hands constantly! He is also drooling like crazy!

Peyton has been a good eater so far and loves to try new things. He has had sweet potatoes, butternut squash, carrots, bananas and apples. He also loves all teething crackers and eats them before I can unwrap a new one!  Hopefully, he will be my good eater. It's looking promising so far!

Michael and I decided to make Peyton's baby food this time around. Patrick is such a terrible eater, I felt like we should try something new. I have to give all the credit to Michael for making it all! I was planning to make it and then every time I started Patrick yelled for me to play with him, so Michael took over and made it all! He has continued to make more food each weekend! I have to say it has been such a success and so much healthier than store bought baby food. I thought it would take a ton of time, but it is so easy and so much cheaper! I doubt I will ever buy baby food from the store again.

Peyton still really loves to nurse and refuses to just take a bottle when I am home (he will take a bottle, but then insists on nursing too :) ). I am convinced that he is waking up at night because he wants to nurse/cuddle and not because he is actually hungry. He normally eats a couple times at night for fifteen minutes and goes back to bed, so I am okay with it. I have a hard time letting him fuss too much since I am away from him all day. I know, I know...I should let him cry it out, but I have an anxiety attack every time I let him cry for more than 10 minutes. Plus, I am pretty sure that when I look back on my life, I am not going to mind missing a couple hours of sleep. But, I am sure I will cherish those extra  minutes I got to share with this precious little boy. There is nothing quite like cuddling with a sweet little cooing baby in the quiet of the night! Luckily I have an understanding husband who puts up with my lack of sleep comments and tries to support me!  Maybe I will have a child that just magically sleeps through the night one day? Well...one can always wish!

Peyton LOVES his bouncer and is so content to just sit there and bounce in it. Patrick maybe spent 10 minutes total in the bouncer and just hated it! So it's nice to put it to good use!  Below is a picture of what I came home to one night after working late. Peyton's bouncer on top of the kitchen counter while Michael was cooking. Unconventional, but everyone was happy so whatever works :) !

And here is a little video of my boys. Patrick tickling "baby" and Peyton giggling at him. So sweet.

Love you Peyton! We are having so much fun with you sweet little boy!

Titan's tailgate

We went to the Titans game last weekend to tailgate and I think both the boys had a lot of fun. Patrick loved running around and throwing the football and he also really liked playing at the park. Peyton was really good and loved looking at everyone.

Little cutie, ready for his first tailgate

Patrick insisted I match him and wear my Titans jersey too

Best attempt at a family picture

Fun morning with my boys!

Rice Cereal

Peyton tried out rice cereal for the first time last weekend. He wasn't too sure about it at first but now he loves it!

Ready for my rice cereal mom!

First bite

That's pretty good!

I'm not sure any of it went in his mouth, but at least he had fun!

Is that all dad?

The Boy's First Father Ryan Game

We went to the Father Ryan vs. BA game last weekend with the boys and I think they had a really fun time. Patrick loved hanging out with Nana and walking around the stadium. Peyton slept for the first little while and then loved looking at everyone!

Patrick loved watching the football players walk into the stadium and gave them high-fives as they walked in.

It was a really good game for Ryan and I wish we could have stayed until the end. Unfortunately, our two little ones were getting pretty sleepy so we left after half-time. I was pretty impressed we made it as long as we did!

Labor Day

For Labor Day, we went to Belle Meade with my parents for their carnival. Patrick had a blast jumping in the bounce houses!

Patrick hanging out with "Big" walking to the fireworks. Patrick loves hanging with Big. He literally asks every morning if he can go play with Big on the playground.

The boys ready for the fireworks to start

The fireworks were a little late so we ended up walking back to the car as they were starting. Patrick jumped a little with each firework and didn't seem to like it that much. Peyton, however, loved the fireworks and the sound didn't seem to bother him one bit. Once we got in the car Patrick started shouting "ohhh a green one, a red one" etc, so it was probably best we watched from the car.

Fun Labor Day with my boys!

Day Out with Thomas

Last Saturday we went to a Day out with Thomas. Patrick had a blast! I wish we could have stayed longer, but it was so hot outside and Peyton was worn out so we ended up leaving before we could see most of the stations.

Patrick was excited to ride the train. This is him looking out the window as the train left the station.

Patrick wasn't really into pictures on the train ride

He loved looking at all the other trains we were passing

Unfortunately, this is how most of my pictures look with Patrick now-a-days. He just won't sit still with me long enough to take a picture.

After we rode the train, we went to take a picture with Thomas. Patrick was amazed. We had trouble getting him to turn around and look at the camera because he just wanted to look at Thomas.

So excited about seeing Thomas!

After our picture with Thomas, Patrick and I went to ride the small trackless train while Michael took Peyton to the car to take a nap (he was worn out!) Patrick spotted the large slide while we were on the small train and was so excited about going down it. He climbed up to the top and then got a little nervous and just sat up there. He waited until another little boy got up there and then followed him down the slide. I was a little nervous he wasn't going to do it!

The rest of the day was spent watching football with daddy. Patrick had his "matching" shirt on and insisted on wearing the UT jersey for the rest of the weekend. He literally didn't take it off until we made him on Monday morning! There were a lot of tears involved with making him take off his jersey. Love how much he wants to be like daddy! Melts my heart!
