Gulf Islands National Seashore and Fort Pickens

The condo we were staying at looked out directly over the National Seashore. It was gorgeous, especially at night. Patrick was really excited to use his 4th grade pass to explore.

We also explored Fort Pickens, which is a different part of the National Seashore.

It has gorgeous beaches and campgrounds and a lot of places to explore.

We spent most of our time exploring the Fort. The kids loved finding little paths inside to go through.

Conor and Peyton were the most excited. They begged to go through a second time to find more places to explore. It was HOT and we all decided once through was about all we were up for this time.

He is so excited about exploring all the places in his book. We have crossed off a bunch this year!

We had a fun couple of hours exploring Fort Pickens. Unfortunately Fort Barrancas was still closed, but we would love to explore that one next time!
