California 2021 Family Vacation- Downtown Disney and California Adventure Park (Part 4)

Next up on our trip itinerary was Disneyland! We woke up pretty early to make the drive from Palm Springs to Anaheim. We had 10am brunch reservations and wanted to make sure we had plenty of time to make it to Downtown Disney.

We went to Catal for brunch and enjoyed their adult mimosas with various juices.

Quick cat nap before brunch was served

After brunch we walked around Downtown Disney and then went bowling at Splitsville Lanes. The boys enjoyed watching Sunday football while bowling.

We picked up some Minnie ears for this sweet girl!

We went back to the hotel to swim and eat at In-n-Out burger. We always have to get our In-n-Out fix while we are in California. Then we went to bed early in preparation for a fun day at California Adventure!

We booked just a couple weeks before we went to Disneyland, so our options for hotels were pretty limited. We stayed at the Home2Suites in Anaheim. I love how all of the hotels are within walking distance of the parks. These two were adorable walking to the parks together.

We were early and made it to the park before opening. We headed towards the boys favorite ride, the Incredicoaster. Caitie isn't tall enough to ride, so we went on the critter carousel and met Edna Mode.

It was sweet little Conor's first time to ride the incredicoaster. He said he loved it, but I think it may have been a little too fast for him.

We went on some of the smaller rides next.

Later on we went on Guardians of the Galaxy. Caitie isn't tall enough to ride, so I went on it with the boys. This was my first time riding it and I hated every moment. Conor looked over at me in the middle and asked if it was ever going to end. The two of us couldn't wait to get off of the ride! Patrick and Peyton loved it and went back on it with Michael while Conor and I met Iron Man.

It was pretty crowded, so we placed an order about an hour in advance for the new restaurant, Pym Test Kitchen. It's a pretty different restaurant and you have no idea what you are ordering. We all found something we liked and the drinks were pretty fun too!

We also tried out the Choco-Smash candy bar. It is huge and we didn't even finish it between the six of us.

We walked by Pluto and Caitie was so excited to meet him!

Then we saw Daisy.

Then Caitie met Dale while the boys and I rode Soarin'.

She also met Nick Wilde.

We caught some of the Mickey's Happy Holidays Christmas Parade which was really cute.

Sweet girl fell asleep during the parade.

Love this view!

We rode the Golden Zephyr around sunset and it was really pretty. The ride was being refurbished the last time we came to Disneyland.

Meeting Joy was pretty fun!

Family picture in front of the ferris wheel!

We walked over to Carsland. I just love it all lit up at night. It is amazing how much it looks like the movie! No one was in line to take pictures so we decided to get our pictures taken with the sign. They turned out so cute!

We tried to ride Radiator Springs Racers but the ride broke down while we were in line. They told us it was going to be two hours to fix it, so we jumped ship and headed to Flo's V8 Cafe.

By the time Radiator Springs Racers opened back up sweet little Conor was asleep in the stroller. Caitie, Patrick and Peyton and I rode the ride right before closing. It was a fun first day at California Adventure. We stayed from opening until closing and had such a blast!
