First baseball season

Patrick played on his first baseball team this year. He played in the 8u (8 and under) coach pitch league. Michael was the coach and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately we were the youngest team and did not win a single game. But, they had a good time and I think that is what really matters.

Here is Patrick ready for his first game. He picked the #52 this year.

The little boys came to all the games, but we ended up leaving early for most the games. The little two had trouble hanging for the long baseball games. I didn't get to watch all the games, but would catch glimpses here and there. It was tough chasing them around the field!

The first couple games Patrick played in the dirt for a little while. But, once he caught on he was quite the little player!

Trying to get a picture with all three is quite the challenge

Keeping lots of treats on hand was definitely key to keeping the little two entertained. Conor dumped my entire icee on his white shirt.

But he sure is cute

By the end of the season Patrick was playing pitcher and really enjoying baseball. He is also great at making contact with the ball. He doesn't hit it far (mostly because he is tiny and has trouble swinging the bat) but he does consistently hit it down the third base line. He is also so fast that he gets on base almost every time!

And his precious professional picture

Grumps and Big also came to a game to cheer the little guy on

Way to go on your first baseball season Patrick!
