A few weeks ago we went to Destin with my family. The weather was beautiful, except for the one day it rained. Patrick had a wonderful time at the pool, but the beach took a little getting used to. He doesn't like to get dirty so the sand bothered him at first, but by the end of the week he really started to like it. He was also terrified of the ocean! If we were holding him he was fine, but if you put him down he freaked out.
We flew so we got there a little before my parents and had a couple hours to kill. Patrick was way overdue for a haircut, so we decided to find somewhere in Destin. We let him pick out a toy before going to get a haircut hoping that it would help. He picked out a monster truck (not surprising!) and held it so tight the whole time! He did great and didn't cry at all!
We also went to fudpuckers for lunch and saw the alligators. I tried to take a couple pictures with my iphone, but they didn't turn out.
Patrick was attached to Michael this trip! Below is a picture on the dock before the first night at dinner.

He also loved taking naps on the beach with dad! He didn't want to nap much on this trip, but once we took him to the ocean he fell right asleep!
We went to Baytowne Wharf one night and it was really fun. There are lots of restaurants and things to do with kids there. There is also a huge playground which Patrick loved!

The sun was setting right before dinner and it was absolutely beautiful!
Patrick can't sit still for long so we took a walk on the pier while the sun was setting and while we were waiting on our dinner to arrive

We couldn't get Patrick to let go of his sippy cup for any pictures. Patrick has only had juice a couple times and I put lemonade in his cup hoping he would sit still for dinner. He chugged it!
Denton captured a few precious pictures of Patrick and I. He loves to hold hands and take you where he wants to go. Its pretty sweet.
