Mulloy Disney Trip 2014 (Part 5)

We headed home on Tuesday and it was a terrible day! The kids were exhausted and sad about leaving Disney.

Our day started out waking up and scrambling to pack in time to make it for our breakfast with Lilo and Stitch. We tried to head there quickly and ended up only being about 10 minutes late. However, when we got there it was a 30-45 minute wait even though we had reservations. We were afraid we wouldn't have time to wait and eat and make our shuttle to the airport so we had to ditch the reservations. Patrick was really bummed about not being able to meet Lilo and Stitch. It was tough to travel 30 minutes there and then have to travel right back! Not the best start to our day.

When we got back to the hotel, I asked Patrick if he wanted to take a picture with Lightning McQueen before we left. He insisted we take a picture with every car there, which I of course loved. I love how excited he is in every single picture! So precious! (Prepare for picture overload!)

When we got on the bus to head to the airport Patrick looked at me with big tears in his eyes and said "Mom, I am really going to miss Mickey's House and Carburetor County. I am so sad!"

The bus to the airport left three hours before our scheduled flight, which meant we had a lot of extra time with really tired little boys at the airport. It was a tough wait and a tough flight! When we got back to Nashville we were exhausted! The boys hadn't napped and we were all ready to get home. Unfortunately, we left right when President Obama was scheduled to eat near the airport and fly. We made it right past where you pay for parking and sat there for an hour!! They shut down all roads and we were stuck right in the middle with absolutely no place to go. Had we been able to turn around I definitely would have gone back to the airport and let the kids run around. It was dinner time and they were both not happy at all. In fact Peyton screamed bloody murder for about 45 minutes. It took us about an hour and a half to get home from the airport (it is typically a 15-20 minute drive). We learned later that they shut down all roads to and from the airport so that no one knows which route the President is taking, ugh!

It was a fun trip and I know we will cherish those memories forever!  But it has taken us a while to adjust back to daily life! Peyton is still adjusting and its about 2 weeks later. I'm pretty sure he picked up a bug from either Disney or the plane ride because he has been sick as a dog since we returned, running a fever on and off for 2 weeks straight!

We are already looking forward to when we can go back!!
