Spring Break 2017- Great Smoky Mountains (Part 4)

We told Conor it was our last day on vacation and this is the face he made. Seriously, how do you say "no" to this face??

The boys were begging to stay another night and they were so good at Dollywood that we decided to give it a go! We had wanted to try out the indoor water park at Wilderness at the Smokies last year, so we called and they had an extra room for that night.  Check-in was not until 3pm, so we decided to go for another short hike. This was an easy stroll and we barely went a half a mile. We stopped pretty often to throw sticks and rocks into the creek.

This picture is so funny!! Life with these boys is never dull!

We ate lunch at Calhouns and then headed to the water park. Our room was very interesting. I definitely would not choose to stay in this room again. It looked like it was ancient and had not been refurbished in years. Later we found out that a portion of the hotel across the street from the indoor water park was just built this summer. If we ever go back, I would definitely choose to stay there instead and take the tram to the indoor water park.

Here are some pictures of the room.

Conor's favorite part was the bunk beds. That child is crazy and he would flip himself off of the top bunk onto the bottom bed. It terrified me, but there is no stopping that child.

We quickly dressed and then headed to the water park. The two big boys were so excited! Conor was a little nervous and wouldn't step a foot away from Conor and I.

There was one big water structure where the kids spent most of their time.

Patrick and Peyton played for hours in this play area. There were water guns and levers to pull that shot water. They shot water at each other for hours!

Michael and I ordered a massive margarita and took turns enjoying it while the other helped with the kids in the water park.

Patrick was also tall enough to ride one of the raft rides. Michael and him rode it once that afternoon, but the line was so long that Patrick did not want to ride it again that afternoon.

The next morning we woke up and headed straight for the water park when it opened at 9am. It was SO crowded that afternoon, but was much more pleasant that morning. Patrick was able to ride the raft ride with Michael about 7 more times without a line. Patrick also really loved the massive wave pool. It was an intense wave pool and we had to make sure we stood right next to the boys while they were in the wave pool. We also made Patrick wear a life jacket since the wave pool was so strong.

We played in the water park for 2 hours before we had to pack up and head out. The boys immediately fell asleep in the car. It had been a long and fun few days!

I had the best time with my boys! It was such a fun vacation!
