First 2 weeks of Quarantine and Homeschool

The day after coming home from Spring Break, we started homeschooling because of the Coronavirus. We had gotten home late the night before, the house was a mess, and the workload was crazy!

We pulled out all of our old computers and started our day.

Little miss is used to having all of my attention, so she was doing everything she could to get it!

The first day we worked from 8:30am until 6:30pm straight with only a small break for lunch. We were all exhausted and were feeling overwhelmed. The boys were great and really listened. Even though we were pretty overwhelmed, we had some sweet moments.

Conor only has a little bit of work, so he occupied Caitie for a little while.

Conor was so excited to zoom with class!

It rained a lot the first week, so we had some fun with their indoor recess!

One of Patrick's math assignments was to make a pizza with word problems. It's part of his fractions study.

Friday was a lot prettier and we were able to get outside and take a family walk after all of our schoolwork was complete.

Peyton had a zoom call with his friends and all of them sang Happy Birthday. It was so cute!

On Friday night we had a family movie night. We watched the brand new movie, Onward. We had popcorn and cookies and stayed up extra late. It was a sweet family night!

The second week of homeschool was so much better. They lightened the load a little and we were able to more easily manage all of the work.

Caitie has been spending so much time with her brothers that she has insisted on wearing their sweatshirts.

She also learned how to drive the corvette! She can't steer on her own yet, but we are working on it.

Conor's work involves a lot of cutting practice.

Patrick zoomed with his friends for his birthday!

Caitie worked with Peyton on his computer class

Michael changed offices and set up in Conor's room so that we didn't have to listen to his constant conference calls.

Conor went on a scavenger hunt for his homework and found all kinds of things. He found flowers,

He found a stump

Some rocks

A brown maple leaf

It was a hectic couple weeks with lots of homework, two birthdays and a lot of work for Michael. We made it! Hopefully the next couple weeks go a little more smoothly!
