Red Caboose Park

I thought we would mix up our routine a little and try out a new park. We had been to red caboose park before, but it had been a couple of years, so it was definitely time to try it again. When I told the boys we were trying out a new park, they sort of threw a little fit about it. They are definitely little creatures of habit! They ended up LOVING it! We went really early in the morning, when it was still cool out (or cool for August in the south I should say). We were the only ones in the park for a long time and ended up staying for 2 and a half hours. I eventually had to drag the boys out of the park since it was time to feed Conor.  They did not want to leave. As soon as we got in the car, they both immediately asked when we could go back. They both took a long nap after lunch and baths, so it was the perfect day for these two. After nap, Patrick woke up begging and crying to go back to the "maze park."

Can you see the dirt caked to his face? He was covered in dirt and we spent a long time in the bath scrubbing it off!

Just look how excited they are!!

After an entire day of begging to back to the maze park, we made it back. But this time Patrick had an idea to make it even more fun.

Patrick: "Mom, do you know what would make the park even MORE fun?
Me: "What?"
Patrick:" Eating donuts at the park. Doesn't that sound so fun?"

I agree, eating donuts at the park is way more fun :)  So that's what we did!

And this time we were prepared for the sand box. We brought lots of shovels and buckets. Perfect for little boys to play and get really dirty!

Such fun summer days!
