4th of July

We had a sleepy little 4th of July at the Mulloy household. We had been to some festive parties the days leading up to the fourth, so I think everyone was pretty tired.

The day before the 4th we went to a pool party at the Hickoks. The kids had a blast swimming in the pool and eating snow cones.

On the fourth we woke up and lounged around for a little. Michael set up the bouncy slide around lunch time and the kids had a blast playing around

Peyton preferred to go face first

Take 1...typical of my boys :)

Much better

It was a muggy, hot, overcast day with thunderstorms planned for late afternoon. The big boys were able to squeeze in a little trip to the carnival with Big and Allie for a little while before it started pouring.

We headed over to the Mulloy's for a little dinner afterwards. The boys were able to swim for about 1 minute before it started pouring. Conor was in no mood on the Fourth. Poor thing is getting his 2 year molars, which are his last teeth! It can not come soon enough!

It was drizzling on and off, so we decided to watch the fireworks from the Grumps and Nana's neighbors driveway. It ended up being an excellent choice, since it started storming pretty badly during the middle of the fireworks. We were soaked, but were glad we did not have to walk far back to the house.

Sweet little Peyton is trying to drop his nap, so he actually fell asleep during the rain storm while the fireworks were going off...poor thing. And I was so glad that we brought Patrick's headphones this year. He was able to watch the fireworks without having a total meltdown! It only took us 5 years to figure out how to do it right :)

We have had a few 4th's in a row with rain, so maybe next year we will get some good weather!
