Spring Break 2018- Great Smoky Mountains (Part 1)

This year for spring break we decided to go back to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg and rent a cabin. We thought it was a great option with a newborn and the boys really love going there. The plan was to rent a cabin with a pool that would keep the big boys busy, but also have lots of activities if we were up for going out. We went for 4 nights and we really had the best time. I was not expecting to be able to do as much as we did. Caitie was such a champ!!

Michael was in D.C. so the plan was for me to pack and get everything ready and pick him up at the airport, so we could beat rush hour traffic. Callie came over to hold the baby and help watch the boys while I finished packing. Photo courtesy of Conor :)

And Matt packed the car for me, which was a huge help! We were packed and ready to go on vacation!

We stopped one time for gas and Caitie slept the entire way. It was a great start to our trip. We arrived in Knoxville at Michael's grandparents around 6:30pm. It was fun to introduce Caitie to her great grandparents and catch up for a little while.

Then we headed towards our cabin in Pigeon Forge. The name of the cabin was Skinny Dippin' and it was so cute. It was so close to everything and was great for our little family. Here are a few photos of the cabin.

The boys spent a lot of time at the pool table

And the master bedroom with a heart shaped tub, which the kids thought was so fun

We arrived around 10pm and the boys woke up to take a peek at the pool.

We woke up a little late, had breakfast and then went for a swim

After the boys swam they begged to take a bath in the heart tub. So funny!

We cuddled Caitie for a little while by the fire

It was snowing when we woke up and was freezing, so we opted for an indoor activity. I had options picked out for each day that we could just pick from depending on whether it was pretty outside or cold. It's hard to find activities that are good for a newborn and a three year old and also fun for the two big boys, so I wanted to be prepared.

We ate lunch at Mel's Diner and then decided to try Crave Golf course, which has an indoor putt putt and outdoor putt putt area themed to Candyland. This was their first time playing putt putt and the boys loved it. Patrick begged to play putt putt again for the rest of the trip.

They also have mini bowling, so we played putt putt first and then mini bowling. The big boys played putt putt again afterwards, but Conor had enough so I tried to entertain him while the big boys and Michael finished. Caitie slept the entire time :)

We came back to the cabin afterwards and swam some more. Caitie was a little confused about all the noise!

It was a fun day with my little ones!
