Mulloy Disney Trip 2015 (Part 3)

After a really late night at the Magic Kingdom for the Christmas party, the boys slept in until about 9am. We quickly got ready and headed to the bus station.  But first the boys were excited to see what Chippy brought them (all items from the dollar aisle at target, party city or Walmart).

We brought our own double stroller, since I knew we would need it in the airport and then rented the stroller for Conor. I highly recommend renting a stroller from a rental company (and not from the park) if you don't think you will need it in the airport. It was nice to have it be in our room when we arrived and to be able to use it outside the park in our hotel area.

We arrived at the Animal Kingdom around 10am, just in time for our fastpasses to the safari ride.

Peyton really enjoyed the animals and was so excited to see them

We gave Patrick a kid camera for the trip and he was so excited to take pictures of all of the animals.

After the safari we explored the Pangani Forest Exploration trail. By the time we got off of the safari it had warmed up and was so hot and muggy, which was surprising since it was December. There were also crowds and crowds of people. We had a very tough time even moving through the crowd at all.

Next on the agenda was Donald's safari lunch. The kids were getting a little antsy while we waited on the characters to join us, so I pulled out some Mickey lollipops. The boys thought they were so funny.

My boys have trouble sitting still for more than 7 seconds, so I captured some funny moments of our two goofballs putting on a show for us.

Daisy joined us first. The boys were excited to see Daisy again, but in a different outfit this time. Love those precious hugs for Daisy.

We used the same autograph books as last year and Patrick really had fun adding to his collection of autographs. He always asked if the "creditors" (aka characters) could "sign out" (aka sign his book). Too funny!

Safari Mickey was up next

And Donald

And our favorite....Goofy!

Might be one of my favorite pictures

A little video of Peyton waiting to meet Goofy. He was so excited he couldn't sit still!

Then it was time to have a parade with Goofy around the restaurant. The kids loved it and thought it was so fun!

Now to the most challenging portion of our trip. After lunch we had fastpasses to see the Lion King show.  The kids have never seen the Lion King, but they love the new show called the Lion Guard on Disney Junior (which is Simba as a father taking place 20 years after the Lion King), so I thought they would love this show. Well something set off Patrick and he wasn't behaving at all, which was strange because he was really excited to see the show. Michael had to take him out before the show even began.  Peyton and I watched about 15 minutes of the show before leaving because we could hear Patrick outside still screaming. Yikes!! We were not able to calm him down, so we ended up having to leave the park. It took us about 20 minutes to fight the crowds to get to the front of the park to leave and he screamed the entire way. Michael and I were pretty bummed (and embarrassed!). He finally calmed down as we got on the bus to leave the park, but we decided it would be best to swim at the hotel and take a breather.

As soon as we got to the hotel the weather changed from being very hot and sunny to windy and cloudy. The boys were only able to swim for a little while before it got too cold. They still had a blast though. And this chubby little precious boy thought it was the best thing ever! I could seriously just eat him up!

After a rest and everyone recharging after a tough morning, we headed back to the Magic Kingdom for the night. We were able to get fastpasses to Buzz Lightyear and walked right on, which was wonderful!

Michael and Patrick got very into it!

We tried to get a family picture in front of the castle on the way out, but Patrick was not excited about it as you can tell.

Next up is some more Magic Kingdom fun!
