Mulloy Disney Trip 2015 (Part 5)

A couple days before our trip I was able to book Crystal Palace reservations at 8:15am, which was 45 minutes before park opening time. I have always wanted to book early reservations and get a picture in front of the castle before the masses arrive. We were of course running late, as seems typical of our early morning reservations at Disney! So we arrived at the park around 8:45am and it was PACKED! It took us a little while to figure out where to check in to be able to get into the park early (tip: go as far to the left as possible and look for the person with the clipboard). I think the boys were a little flustered because they were in no mood to take a picture with me. Oh well!

They perked up right when we entered the restaurant and were excited to see Pooh, Tigger Piglet and Eeyore

First up was Tigger

Then Piglet

And Winnie the Pooh

Patrick really loved showing all of the characters his pressed penny book. They were all very excited for him.

And my favorite, Eeyore. He is just so dang cute!

Merida's line was pretty long the day before, so as soon as we finished our breakfast we booked it to see Merida. There was already a pretty good wait, so I took the boys to ride the tea cups while Michael waited in line. We timed it perfectly. The boys were excited to meet her, but I think their favorite part was shooting her special bow and arrow!

A little video of the boys shooting Merida's bow and arrow

Sweet little Conor was worn out

On our way to Adventureland we stopped to meet Chip and Dale. They were so funny and I enjoyed meeting them as well.

We headed to the Pirates of the Carribbean next, which is always a favorite. After Pirates Peyton really wanted to ride the Magic Carpets of Alladin. But Patrick was pretty tired so he wanted to rest instead of stand in line. I had heard all about the Dole Whip Floats, so I decided I had to try one out. It was definitely yummy!

Then we headed to our fastpasses at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. I had no idea if Patrick would like it, but I thought we should definitely give it a try. Michael and Patrick rode first while Peyton and I took a rest with some popcorn. It was very very hot and hard to find shade over in that side of the park. Patrick wasn't fond of Big Thunder Mountain because he said it was too fast and bumpy, so I ended up not using my fastpass to ride with him. Maybe next time I will try it out.

We had never ridden the Walt Disney Railroad train around the park, so decided that should be up next on this list. We parked our stroller and rode the 20 minutes around the park . The kids got a little bored on the trip and kept asking when we could get off. Maybe next time we will just ride for one stop.

Our last fastpass of our trip was for Patrick's favorite ride, the Mine Train.  Since Peyton and Conor are not tall enough to ride we are able to use the rider switch program which is fantastic! Michael and Patrick normally go first and they give Patrick a pass to go through the fastpass line again. So he gets to ride twice really quickly!

Michael took this slow motion video of us, which I think is pretty cool

After the mine train, we bid the Magic Kingdom farewell and headed to the hotel for a rest.  All the boys fell asleep on the bus.

We headed to the pool for a little mid day swimming before it got a little too cold. Conor had a blast at the splash pad.

Then we got ready to head to Hollywood Studios for the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights. This is the last year for the lights, so we definitely wanted to enjoy it for the last year.

Hollywood Studios is in a bit of transition right now and there is not much to do there. I was not expecting such a large crowd, but it was PACKED! Like so packed that you couldn't move anywhere! We got there a little early thinking that we would try and get a fastpass for something to ride.  There was absolutely nothing to pick from. Toy Story Mania was 90 minutes and there were so many people that we couldn't make it to Star Tours, so we decided to go and meet Mater and Queen.

I was really glad that we decided to do the dessert party that night. We heard Disney would be offering the dessert party again this year a few days after we booked our trip, so we were able to score the reservations which sold out in just a few minutes. We did the dessert party last year too, so we knew that it was worth it to be able to sit down, relax, eat desserts, enjoy some alcoholic beverages and enjoy the lights.

It was gorgeous and I am so glad we got to see it this last year

My little goofballs had a lot of sugar at the dessert party.

On our way out we saw that there was a dance party going on with a Stitch, Baloo and Pluto. Peyton was so excited and just stared at Pluto. We tried to get in there and dance with him but I think he was just amazed.

We headed back to the hotel pretty early so we could get up and get ready for our flight in the morning.

The boys were exhausted the next day. I think it was the perfect amount of Disney for our family. In the future I would love to stay a little longer so that we could have one day in each park, but I think that was about all we could have handled this year.

We have one huge eater and a non eater in our family. Can you guess which one of those this child is? Might I mention that this was his second croissant after already having breakfast in the room...haha!

This was my precious view on the plane flight home. All three of the boys slept for the majority of the flight. Definitely a win!

Til next time Disney!
