Mulloy Disney Trip 2016 (Part 5)

Tuesday was the day we were most excited for! I read such great reviews about early morning magic, that we decided to try it out. We woke up bright and early and were at the boat dock in time for the first boat to arrive around 6:45am.

We were the only ones crazy enough to be up that early at Disney! It was quite foggy out!

This little nugget was pretty happy to be one of the first to enter the park!

Early morning magic allows you into the park from 7:45am until 9am with only a few other people. There are three rides that are open for early morning magic guests, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Winnie the Pooh and Peter Pan. Early morning magic also includes a private breakfast at Pinnochio Village Haus. Patrick's favorite ride is the mine train, so we raced to the mine train. Michael, Patrick and Peyton rode the mine train while Conor and I rode Winnie the Pooh and Peter Pan about 5 times each.

Can you tell how thrilled they are to be the only people in line??  They were on their first ride on the mine train by 7:54am.

Their faces are soo funny in this picture! There is a HUGE difference between the first car and the last car. The last car drops you so much faster. If you look through all the pictures you can really tell by their faces.

Ride #1- 7:54am

Ride #2- 7:59am

Ride #3- 8:09am

Ride #4- 8:14am

Ride #5- 8:18am

Ride #6- 8:23am

Ride #7- 8:27am

Ride #8- 8:34am

Peyton asked to get off after ride #7, so Michael and Patrick had to get off of the ride and wait for Conor and I to get off of Winnie the Pooh. Michael and Patrick made sure to let me know that they lost time. They were going for the record of most rides in a row!

Ride# 9- 8:39am

Ride #10- 8:42am

Ride #11- 8:47am

Ride #12- 8:54am

They start letting people who have early morning ADR's on around 8:50, so you can see that the ride isn't empty anymore

During the Early Morning Magic hour, Conor and I rode Winnie the Pooh and Peter Pan multiple times (I lost count). Peyton ended up riding on the Mine Train 7 times, riding on Winnie the Pooh twice and Peter Pan three times. And Michael and Patrick rode the Mine Train 12 times and Peter Pan once. The wait for the Mine Train is always around 60-90 minutes, so riding 12 times in a row would have taken us over 12 hours on a normal park day!! Well worth the cost! Breakfast stays open until 10am, so we headed towards Pinnochio Village Haus for our breakfast, which was included in the price.  It was really delicious and we pretty much had the place to ourselves.

After breakfast, we had fastpasses for the Mine Train again, so I took a turn and rode with the boys a couple of times.

Patrick was ready to meet some more characters after his morning of thrill rides. So next we headed towards Cinderella's stepsisters. They were so funny and had us all laughing!

Next up was our fastpass for Elena and Cinderella. The boys LOVE the new Elena show and they asked multiple times during our previous days at the Magic Kingdom if we could meet her.

After such an early morning and a jam packed few days, the boys were too tired to make it to our 3rd fastpass for Pirates of the Caribbean. So, we told them we would head to get ice cream and then go back to the hotel. By the time we made it to get ice cream, Peyton and Conor were both fast asleep in the stroller. So we enjoyed an ice cream cone and a Mickey Kitchen Sink with our big boy. It was delicious!

After the parks, we decided to take it easy and swim at the pool. It was such pretty weather the entire time we were there, so we swam for a couple hours each day. Definitely beat the rainy 20 degree weather in Nashville at the time! The Wilderness lodge has a great splash area and a really fun slide in the main pool area. Since the hotel is currently under refurbishment and half of the rooms are closed, the pool was never crowded and the boys could go down the slide without any line. They LOVED it!!

Splash pad fun

Love how excited he is!

Shooting water guns

The most fun part for the big boys was waiting for the bucket to drop. It dropped very frequently, so they just stood there and got water poured over their heads and thought it was so fun.

The slide was very fast and we had our hands full with Conor, so we insisted Patrick wear a life vest. Hopefully he doesn't insist upon one at home!

Peyton was so excited that Conor was starting to swim by himself and kept cheering him on and giving him big hugs...love it!

More slide fun

Conor showing off his tricks. You can barely see in the background, but there is a geyser that goes off every hour and it was really fun to be able to watch it from the pool.

I went down the slide and it is surprisingly fast! I think they went down it 100 times while we were there.

After swimming we got all dressed up to head to Hollywood Studios for the Jingle Bell Jingle Bam Dessert Party. The past couple years it has been perfect weather during the day, but a little chilly at night. So I bought the boys a couple long sleeve shirts and they weren't able to wear them at all. It was just so hot! So here we are in our short sleeves again :)

Conor was asleep for the entire dessert party, which was a really nice break for us! We were able to really enjoy the dessert party, while we let the boys play a few games on our phones.

Patrick and Peyton took a few pictures of us

With the price of the dessert party were reserved seats for the Jingle Bell Jingle Bam show. It was really nice since you really needed to be head on to see the reflections against the Great Movie Ride building.

There were also special glasses for the show, which turned all the lights into different characters but it proved to be really difficult for the kids because they didn't fit them and it was frustrating for them.

We headed back after the show for a night cap at Territory Lounge at the Wilderness Lodge.

It was a jam packed day and we were all pretty tired!
