Mulloy Disney Trip 2017 (Part 2)

Our first park day was at the Magic Kingdom. We had planned to arrive for the opening show, but we made it just a few minutes later. We headed straight towards a new ride for both of the boys...Space Mountain!  Peyton was barely tall enough to ride and he was excited about riding on a fast ride. When they got off they both said it was really fast and they weren't sure they wanted to do it again. But, 10 minutes later they were asking to ride again! While the big boys rode space mountain, Conor and I rode the peoplemover. He thought it was the most boring ride ever.

Then we headed to our fastpass for the Mine Train. This is the boys absolute favorite ride. They ask to ride it all year long.

Mine Train Video. You can barely see, but Patrick has the biggest smile on his face. I love it!

Next we headed towards Winnie the Pooh. It's such a sweet little ride. And sweet Conor finally got to ride something after watching his big brothers ride two fast rides. We also rode Ariel twice, since there was such a short line. Then we headed to one of our favorites, Gaston's Tavern, for a yummy cinnamon roll, Lefou's Brew and some popcorn from the popcorn cart next door.

Next up was Dumbo. The boys absolutely adore the playground at Dumbo. We probably spent about 30 minutes cooling off and playing on the playground. We also rode Dumbo twice, once with a fastpass and once through the regular line so we could play.

Then Barnstormer

Then we headed towards our last fastpass of the day, Buzz Lightyear. Sweet little Conor fell asleep in the line. His favorite characters right now are Buzz and Woody, so I was sad he missed out!

After Buzz, we headed towards the main street fire station to register for the Sorcerors of the Magic Kingdom. I knew Patrick would love it, so I wanted to make sure to grab our cards so we could play later that night. There was no line for a picture at the entrance to the Magic Kingdom, so we jumped in for a quick pic.

Then we headed back for lunch and a rest at the hotel. The boys got some special cars from Nana, so instead of swimming they decided to play in the room with their cars. They also had fun relaxing on the patio and watching all of the animals right outside our window.

After our rest, we headed back to the Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. It's our very favorite event each year! Even though we went back to the room for a rest, both Conor and Peyton fell asleep as soon as we walked through the gates.

We asked Patrick what he wanted to do and he decided he wanted to try out the Sorceror's game. He LOVED it. I think he would have played all night if we would have let him.  No one else was playing the game, so we could easily find the portals and not wait in a line.

We had a few more minutes until our Be Our Guest reservations, so we searched on the app for something to ride that didn't have a long wait. Unfortunately this party was sold out, so every single ride had a huge wait time. We happened to walk by the Haunted Mansion right when they were opening the ride back up and jumped on it with no wait. Conor was still asleep, so Michael hung out with a sleeping Conor outside. The ride had to stop a couple times during the middle and it was pretty creepy being stuck in the Haunted Mansion at night! We also tried out our very first magic shot with Zero the ghost after leaving the Haunted Mansion.

We took a quick ride on "It's a Small World." Then we headed to our dinner reservation at Be our Guest. I tried for 6 months to get a dinner reservation that wasn't during the Christmas Party, but I wasn't able to find one. It was Patrick's requested place to visit again, so we decided to go for it!

Patrick wanted to sit in the West Wing with the enchanted rose this time (last time we were in the Rose Gallery).  It was fun to sit in there, but it was dark and made it more difficult to see your food and eat.

Juice out of a light-up goblet...pretty fancy!

This was our view

Our dinner was really delicious. We tried to make it a fast dinner so we could enjoy the rest of the Christmas Party, but our waitress seemed to be on her own time and dinner took almost 2 hours. After dinner we headed to the Beast's Library to meet him. Conor was TERRIFIED of him. He screamed bloody murder and the Beast jumped and ran behind one of the curtains and slowly peeked out. It was pretty funny and the whole line was laughing. He slowly came out and tried to hide from Conor, but Conor still spotted him.

His face in this picture is absolutely priceless

We skipped the Grey Stuff at dinner and decided to walk around to the different stations and try the special Christmas cookies. They definitely upped their game in the cookie department this year. There were different varieties at every place and they were delicious.

We took such a great picture in front of the lit up castle on main street.

The boys had been asking to meet Talking Mickey, but we weren't able to obtain a fastpass for him. So, we decided to go during the fireworks when we thought it wouldn't be crowded. He was great and I am really glad we met him. He asked Patrick not to tell Santa that he put a reindeer in his pool. Patrick thought it was so funny. Sweet Conor was terrified of him, so he opted out of the picture.

After meeting Mickey we found a great spot for the 10:30pm parade. We entertained Conor with bubbles while we waited.

Patrick slept through half of the parade. Even though we have been to the Christmas Party 4 times, we had never seen the parade! It was so great and we loved it!

Conor always seemed to attract every character (even though he is terrified) and every performer. So he was picked to help out a little during the beginning of the parade.

We were exhausted by the end of the parade and decided to call it a night. We had a great time at the Christmas Party!
