Northeast Summer Vacation- Bar Harbor/Acadia (Part 6)

Michael and I woke up to watch the sunrise again. The kids begged us to wake them up for it, but when we tried to get them up at 4:30am they all just rolled over. It was a little cloudy, so they didn't miss much.

The kids took a little bit to get moving so we all slept in and walked to breakfast. I loved that our hotel was right in the center of everything. It was very easy to walk anywhere. We absolutely loved the location. We decided to eat at Jordan's Restaurant. We filled up on their complimentary blueberry muffins, coffee, juice, pancakes and eggs.

We had planned to do a few more hikes today and possibly attempt the beehive trail with the big kids, but the kids were begging for a pool day at our hotel instead. We decided it might be nice to have a down day. So we hopped from the hotel pool to the Bar Harbor Club next door.

We had a sunset sailing cruise set up for the afternoon, so we swam and played until it was time to leave for the cruise. We stopped at the grocery store and picked up all kinds of fun snacks before the sailing cruise. Unfortunately we didn't get a good sunset as it was a very very cloudy night, but we had the best time giggling and talking on the sailboat. It was all of our first time on a sailboat and we loved it!

After a few minutes on the bow of the boat, this guy decided to stay in the back where it was warmer!

Absolutely love this picture of the six of us!

The kids were acting goofy and asked me to take pictures of them. I got so many cute ones of them interacting.

Even though there was no sunset on our sunset cruise, we still had the best time! This was actually our bonus day in Acadia. We had originally planned to be in Portland on this day, but were having so much fun we changed our plans and stayed in Acadia an extra night. Love these memories with my sweet little family!
